Sobre esta vaga de Implementation Engineer II na ActivTrak
What you will do
As an Implementation Engineer II, you will handle technically complex onboarding engagements and serve as the escalation point for Level I teammates. You bring deeper experience with enterprise IT environments — MDM platforms, scripting, GPO, and identity management — and can work through non-standard deployment scenarios without a playbook to follow. You are comfortable in ambiguous technical situations and know when to dig in versus when to loop in Solutions or Engineering. You also contribute to making the team better: writing runbooks, identifying patterns in escalations, and helping Level I teammates grow.
- Own technical execution for complex or high-stakes onboarding engagements, including enterprise deployments with MDM, SCIM, SSO, and ActivConnect
- Serve as the escalation point for Level I — triage inbound technical issues, resolve what you can, and route what you cannot to Solutions or Engineering with clear documentation
- Guide customers through MDM-based agent deployment (Jamf, Intune, Workspace ONE, Kandji, Hexnode) including PPPC/TCC configuration on Mac
- Support ActivConnect enablement including BigQuery, Analytics Hub, and custom data connection scoping
- Use scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) to support deployment automation, diagnostics, or environment validation
- Write and maintain technical runbooks, escalation guides, and deployment playbooks for use by Level I teammates
- Identify recurring technical friction points and surface them as product gaps or process improvement opportunities
- Lead or support 1-to-many technical enablement sessions on advanced topics
- Partner with CSMs and Solutions teammates to scope technically complex accounts before onboarding begins
What this role is not
- Not a custom development or advanced data architecture role
- Not responsible for building custom ActivConnect reports or data models
- Not a pre-sales Solutions Architect — you work post-sale
- Not a Customer Success Manager — you own technical execution, not commercial outcomes
- Not a people manager — this is a senior individual contributor role
Where this role leads
Level II is a senior IC role with a clear path forward. The next step is Senior Implementation Engineer, which carries broader scope, cross-functional influence, and ownership of practice-level improvements. From there, the natural exits are Technical Account Manager (dedicated technical partnership with named enterprise accounts) or Solutions Architect (pre- and post-sales technical advisory and custom work).
Requirements
Your experience
- 2-4 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role: implementation engineer, technical account manager, solutions engineer (post-sales), IT consultant, or similar
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, Workspace ONE, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of macOS PPPC/TCC and enterprise Mac deployment
- Comfortable with scripting — PowerShell, Bash, or Python for diagnostics and automation
- Experience with identity and directory systems: Azure AD / Entra ID, SCIM, SSO / SAML
- Familiarity with data integration concepts (BigQuery, Analytics Hub, or similar) is a strong plus
- Clear written and verbal communicator — able to explain technical decisions to both IT admins and business stakeholders
- Track record of helping less experienced teammates through documentation, mentorship, or structured escalation
