Job Description

To partner with line managers and business leaders in delivering strategic and operational human capital solutions that support the achievement of business goals. The role is responsible for providing expert HR advisory services, driving talent management initiatives, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labour legislation and organisational policies to enable high-performing teams and sustainable business success.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to provide strategic HR advisory and employee relations support, aligning people practices with business objectives.

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding and offboarding processes to attract and retain high-quality talent.

• Support performance, talent and succession management initiatives, enabling the development, engagement and retention of critical talent.

• Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and labour legislation, ensuring consistent and compliant application.

• Manage and support employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievance resolution and formal hearings, providing sound advice to managers.

• Facilitate learning and development initiatives that build employee capability and support organisational and individual performance.

• Analyse HR data and deliver actionable insights and reports, identifying trends that inform workforce decisions, employee engagement and business performance.

• Support workforce planning and organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective workforce structures and alignment with evolving business needs.

• Develop and enhance HR frameworks, policies and tools across recruitment, performance management, development, succession, compensation and benefits, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships and continuously enhance HR service delivery, staying abreast of technology, legislation and industry best practices to deliver high-quality professional support.

• Support employee wellness and engagement initiatives, promoting a healthy, inclusive and productive workplace while contributing to organisational wellbeing programmes.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• An IPMZ diploma is an added advantage
• At least 3 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Knowledge of Zimbabwean labour legislation, HR policies and employee relations practices.
• Proficiency in HRISs and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with high levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
