Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives, and munitions for both defence and commercial applications. With ongoing investment in research and development, we create some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. Working in this rapidly evolving industry means our people are constantly building on their technical expertise while contributing to work of national significance.
We are currently seeking an HSE Coordinator to join our team in Mulwala on Yorta Yorta land.
Your Role
As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting health, safety, and environmental outcomes across the site. You will help drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with HSE standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Support the implementation and ongoing management of HSE systems, processes, and initiatives
Maintain and improve documentation, reporting, and records across HSE activities
Leverage your expertise in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ISO HSE standards, and database/competency management systems
Coordinate HSE-related data, training records, and competency tracking
Assist with audits, inspections, investigations, and compliance activities
Contribute to continuous improvement by applying sound judgment, proactive thinking, and a forward-looking mindset
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Promote and support a positive safety culture through strong communication and collaboration
About you
A certificate or diploma in Health and Safety, Environment, Science, Engineering, Psychology, or a related discipline will be highly regarded but is not essential.
A genuine passion for working within a diverse team united by a common purpose
You have participated in HSE activities (committees, risk assessments, etc.) and are interested in learning more about HSE.
Strong capability in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and database/competency management system
Excellent time management skills and a high level of attention to detail
The ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments
A proactive approach, sound judgment, and a practical problem-solving mindset
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders

A Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
