About the Role

Let's cut to the chase. This is a hard job.

You'll report directly to our VP of Operations and work closely with our founders on some of the company's highest-priority initiatives. One week you might be building a dashboard to understand why pipeline conversion dropped. The next you could be redesigning a sales process, evaluating a new AI workflow, or helping automate an internal process.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a checklist. Your job is to identify problems, build solutions, execute them, measure the results, and repeat.

You'll work across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, People, Finance, and Operations to make Shelf run better every month than it did the month before.

If you enjoy figuring things out, building from scratch, and seeing your work have an immediate impact on the business, you'll probably love this role.

What You'll Do

• Solve Problems: Work directly with the VP of Operations and founders on the company's highest-priority initiatives, taking projects from idea through execution.
• Find Insights: Build dashboards, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve growth, efficiency, and decision-making across the business.
• Build Systems: Improve Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, Clay, and other business systems while helping evaluate and implement new tools as the company scales.
• Automate Work: Use AI, Claude Code, n8n, and modern automation tools to eliminate manual work and create leverage across every department.
• Partner Across the Business: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, People Operations, Finance, and Engineering on projects that improve how Shelf operates.
• Own Outcomes: Measure the impact of what you build, learn from the results, and continuously improve our systems, reporting, and processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Consulting, Strategy, Revenue Operations, Growth Operations, Venture Capital, or high-growth startup environments.
• Analytics: Strong experience turning data into actionable insights using SQL, Sigma, Hex, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or similar analytics tools.
• Systems: Experience working with modern business systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, Clay, Snowflake, Fivetran, or similar platforms.
• AI & Automation: Comfortable using AI and automation tools such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, n8n, Zapier, or similar technologies to improve how work gets done.
• Builder Mindset: You enjoy solving ambiguous problems, taking ownership, and building systems that scale rather than maintaining existing processes.
• Execution: Highly organized, naturally curious, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple projects across different teams in a fast-moving environment.
