The Role
This is a foundational role: you will be the first person to lead our Compensation & Benefits function globally. You'll build on a workstream the team has been carrying forward, giving it dedicated leadership; shaping Fever's compensation and benefits principles as we grow.
As Global Compensation & Benefits Manager, you will own and lead Fever’s global compensation and benefits strategy across all teams in more than 35 countries. You will be responsible for ensuring that our salary structures, performance and rewards programs, and benefits offerings are competitive, equitable, scalable, and aligned with Fever’s business strategy and values.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide strategic guidance on compensation and rewards decisions, establish frameworks and processes that support Fever’s growth, and ensure consistent and effective implementation across our global organization. This role combines strategic thinking with strong analytical and operational capabilities, requiring the ability to translate data and market insights into clear recommendations and business decisions.
The role is based in Madrid, close to most of our teams, while keeping ongoing, close communication with regional and country leaders across our global footprint.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve Fever’s global compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring it supports the company’s business objectives, talent strategy, culture, and growth plans across all countries of the Group.
- Lead the development and governance of Fever’s organizational and salary structures, ensuring they are scalable, consistent, competitive, and aligned with our global compensation philosophy.
- Own Fever’s job architecture and job mapping framework, establishing clear principles for job leveling, role scope, career progression, and internal equity across the organization.
- Partner with the People team and senior leadership to design, develop, and implement performance and reward programs, ensuring they effectively drive performance and reinforce Fever’s values and strategic priorities.
- Lead the design and evolution of compensation frameworks and processes, including salary reviews, Fever’s stock option plan, promotions, merit increases, incentives, and other reward mechanisms.
- Develop and oversee compensation and benefits benchmarking and market intelligence, using external data to inform salary ranges, new roles, market adjustments, and expansion into new countries.
- Act as a subject-matter expert and thought partner to senior management, communicating complex compensation topics clearly, supporting complex compensation decisions and ensuring consistency and fairness across the organization and influencing decisions at the leadership level.
- Establish and oversee metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor compensation, performance, rewards, pay equity, and other key People-related indicators, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Fever’s compensation and rewards programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and proactively adapting them as the business and market evolve.
- Lead the development of competitive and attractive benefits strategies across markets, balancing employee needs, market competitiveness, cost, and scalability.
- Lead and manage external compensation and benefits providers and partners, ensuring high-quality delivery, appropriate governance, and cost effectiveness.
Who You Are
In order to be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification or certification in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, or People Analytics is a plus.
- Have 7+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, with experience owning or leading global compensation programs and teams.
- Have demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of compensation principles, salary structures, job architecture, benchmarking, performance and reward programs, and benefits.
- Have experience designing and implementing compensation frameworks and processes, rather than solely executing established ones.
- Have strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities and the ability to turn complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Be comfortable partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders, including leadership teams and other cross-functional teams.
- Have excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple complex, global projects from strategy through to implementation.
- Have strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to balance employee experience, market competitiveness, internal equity, cost, and business objectives.
- Speak fluent English (C1 or above)
- Be a collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and is comfortable working across cultures, functions, and geographies.
