About The Position
One of our operating companies, Veracity, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in Brisbane.
Join a growing business where you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decision-making. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the finance function, drive continuous improvement and partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical and detail-oriented finance professional with strong business partnering and influencing skills. Sound decision-making based on accurate and timely financial analysis is critical to the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, banking, cash flow management and treasury activities.
- Manage all taxation and statutory compliance obligations, while coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, risk management frameworks, and finance policies to ensure strong governance.
- Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insights, financial analysis, pricing support, and recommendations to improve business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls.
Skills Required
- Minimum 7 years' experience in financial accounting, finance management or a similar senior finance role.
- CA qualification (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
- Demonstrated experience providing commercial and strategic financial support to business leaders.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with Business Central or a similar ERP system (desirable).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and reporting tools.
