Position Summary

Quartermaster AI seeks a resourceful, culturally fluent operator to serve as our on-the-ground presence in the Philippines. This is a hands-on support role responsible for advancing company operations through direct, working-level engagement with individual vessel and fleet owners, commercial partners, and regulators. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment, equally comfortable in the field with vessel operators and crews as in a supporting role alongside company leadership and counsel. This is an outcomes-driven role: the incumbent will be measured on active problem-solving and the reliable, timely delivery of the on-the-ground tasks that keep the project moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Quartermaster's representative in the Philippines, providing local knowledge and eyes on the ground across ports and operating areas.

• Coordinate field logistics for vessel installations in and around ports, helping ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification.

• Engage directly with vessel and fleet owners to build the relationships and secure the contracts needed to expand the operational footprint.

• Support the organization's engagement with Philippine business partners and government regulators, carrying tasks through to completion.

• Support organizational compliance with applicable Philippine requirements governing maritime operations, port activity, and fisheries, in coordination with company leadership and counsel.

• Operate with independence and full-time dedication to the project, exercising discretion over working hours in line with operational demands.

Qualifications and Experience

• A resourceful, self-directed problem-solver who takes initiative, works problems to resolution, and gets things done on the ground without close supervision.

• Significant cultural fluency and a proven ability to engage Philippine counterparts at every level, from vessel captains and crews to business partners and government officials.

• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required, Tagalog strongly preferred.

• Comfort working in and around ports, including the field logistics of vessel installations.

• Preferred: familiarity with, and relationships within, Philippine maritime and regulatory bodies, including MARINA, NTC, NAMRIA, BFAR, PPA, PFDA, and PISA.
