Job Description:
The Events Operation Technician supports the mission of the college by providing support for campus meetings, events, and conferences. This position requires a working knowledge of all campus facilities, space availability, and office layouts to ensure a timely and efficient setup for all campus events. This position works a preassigned but flexible schedule that is based upon the schedule of events for any given week or day. Event needs are communicated as far as 30 days in advance during weekly event meetings.

Essential Job Functions:
60 % A. Timely and accurate delivery, setup, and breakdown of furniture and equipment in support of on-campus events.
20 % B. Establish and maintain a current inventory of furniture and equipment in storage area, in addition to maintaining area in an organized and neat condition. Clean and repair tables and chairs as needed. Coordinate with Facilities Physical Plant for use of items not in inventory.
10 % C. Inspect vehicles as required to maintain safety and performance. Responsible for completing inspection log on the assigned vehicle(s) to ensure safety and functionality before every departure/use. Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle(s) assigned on a daily basis, including cleaning out all trash and debris after each use.
5 % D. Light custodial work before, during, or after events, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.
5 % E. Attend meetings assigned for the purpose of conveying the needs related to specific setups and breakdowns of furniture for campus events and meetings.
Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Professional Experience:
Required: 1-year experience in a position involving daily, physical labor.
Preferred: 1 year of experience working in a position moving furniture or setting up and breaking down for various events was a primary responsibility.
The starting salary for this position is $19.29 per hour.
