As a Firmware Engineering - Connected Physical Products and IOT - Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation within our Operations Consulting practice. You will be at the forefront of product development and manufacturing, focusing on creating cutting-edge solutions that enhance the connectivity and functionality of physical products. Your work will directly impact client success, as you leverage your skills to deliver meaningful solutions in the realm of IoT and connected devices.

As a Senior Associate, you will utilize your problem-solving abilities and critical thinking to navigate complex challenges and deliver quality work. You will build meaningful client relationships, anticipate their needs, and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment. Your role will involve interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations, while maintaining professional and technical standards. Embracing ambiguity, you will use these moments as opportunities for personal growth and development.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will be part of a dynamic team within our Operations practice, contributing to the development of innovative physical products. Your contributions will be integral to advancing our clients' objectives and enhancing their operational capabilities.

Position Requirements:

Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience and / or knowledge in one or more of the following areas

• Electrical System Design and Architecture: Knowledge and application of electrical engineering concepts, components, circuits, and system architectures used in connected products and IoT devices
• NPI and Product Development: Experience across NPI and full product development lifecycles, including system design, prototyping, integration, testing, validation, and engineering analysis for connected products, with emphasis on some aspect of RF system design (e.g., BT, WiFi, UWB, LoRa, cellular), power supply design (buck/boost, switch mode power supplies), circuit simulation (LTSpice or PSpice) and certification/ regulatory testing (FCC, UL, reliability)
• Hardware Bring-up and Troubleshooting: Experience bringing up, troubleshooting, characterizing, and collecting data from sensors, circuits, boards, and system-level designs, including ability to rework PCB with soldering equipment
• Embedded Hardware Platforms and Interfaces: Demonstrate understanding of OrCAD/Allego or similar ECAD tools, MCU (microcontroller) and/or SoC (System on Chip), battery operated devices, common buses (some combination of I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI), common sensors/peripherals (accelerometer, temperature, displays) 
• Technical Documentation and Design Specifications: Experience developing engineering documentation including block diagrams, schematics, component selection criteria, technical requirements, and test plans to support product development and validation

What You Must Have

• Masters/ bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Prior relevant work experience aligned with the required knowledge and skills
• Senior Associate: 7-10 years of experience

• Demonstrating strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to develop practical engineering solutions and deliver results within challenging timelines
• Analytical and data interpretation capabilities to assess large, complex datasets, benchmark performance, and generate insights that drive decision-making
• Proven ability to lead project workstreams, provide oversight, delegate effectively, and deliver high-quality output with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and build confidence in client interactions
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with leadership to manage engagements, coordinate stakeholders, and support the delivery of strategic transformation programs
• Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and team members, fostering trust and shared ownership of outcomes
• Comfort with ambiguity and change, showing adaptability, initiative, and a proactive approach in dynamic project environments
• Growth mindset with self-awareness, openness to feedback, and continuous learning orientation
• Experience in Consumer Markets, Industrial Products, Technology, Telecommunications, Pharma & Life Sciences, or related industries developing connected products and IoT solutions
