Communicates closely with the dietary clerks and Department Director. Must be comfortable with patient interactions including meal delivery in a healthcare setting.Job Description:
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Previous food service
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Basic food production and food service knowledge with ability to use various food service supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures and usage of equipment.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English as well as understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions.
- Must have sufficient mathematical ability to perform basic measurement and portioning activities including increasing and decreasing recipes.
- Ability to meet established deadlines and multi-task in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
- Continuous pushing 300 pound carts.
- Working environment includes freezing temperatures as low as -10 degrees, refrigerated temperatures of 40 degrees, and cooking room temperatures up to 100 degrees.

Pay Range is $25.71 to $31.34 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
