About the Role
The Delivery Lead/Consultant is responsible for coordinating the successful delivery of modern applications. Working closely with the Product Owner. You'll act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and the App Mod team, ensuring work is planned, tracked, and delivered in line with agreed timelines. This role is part of our professional services team, where you'll be responsible for assisting in delivering chargeable services to our customers, spanning a variety of functions—all centred around seamless service delivery.
Our office is based in Wellington. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
Current or eligible for NZSIS security clearance (NZDF security clearance can be obtained)
This role will be offered as a contract role until June 2027
What you'll do
At the moment, as Delivery Lead you will be focused on:
- Managing and maintaining work items and delivery plans using Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Updating and tracking user features and delivery activities within ADO
- Raising, managing and coordinating Change Requests (CRs) and Service Requests through Cherwell
- Monitoring request progress and ensuring timely approvals, implementation and closure
- Facilitating communication between the Delivery team and technical teams
- Tracking risks, issues, dependencies and delivery milestones, escalating where required
- Providing regular status reporting on project progress, service requests and change activities
- Supporting resource coordination, sprint planning and prioritisation of delivery activities
- Ensuring delivery processes, governance requirements and operational procedures are followed
- Working with customers to plan, oversee and complete discrete professional services engagements
- Acting as the conduit between relevant teams or business units to ensure services are seamlessly handed over with appropriate processes and documentation
- Liaising with key stakeholders to identify appropriate change windows and constructing clear communications regarding changes and service impacts
- Assisting with project closures and financial clearance
- Supporting team administration to maximise productivity

What you'll bring
Required experience:
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for work management and delivery tracking
- Familiarity with Cherwell ITSM for Change and Service Request management
- Background in service delivery, customer service or administration
- Experience with customer-facing engagements, chairing meetings and facilitating workshops
- Experience in project coordination or case management
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and reporting skills
- Good understanding of the Technical Change Management Process
- Broad understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependencies
- Understanding of financial management practices
- Knowledge of Service Management Practices and Processes
- Knowledge of project delivery, Agile methodologies and service management practices
Nice to have:
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL Foundation
- Experience supporting teams in the deployment of Enterprise Network Solutions or similar
- Diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline
- ITIL Certification
- Project Management Certification
- Agile or Scrum certification
- Broad understanding of Network, Network Security and Cloud Network concepts, products and services
