DASCHWorks is building a different kind of employment program for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.  We help participants discover their strengths, explore careers, build workplace skills, gain real experience, secure meaningful employment and develop greater independence.

In this role, you will:

• Facilitate engaging, participant-centred Learning Labs
• Help participants identify strengths, interests, skills and career goals
• Create hands-on learning through workplace tours, job shadows, service projects, simulations and workplace try-outs
• Support individualized Skill Development and Career Development Plans
• Build confidence, independence and self-advocacy
• Work alongside participants, families, Job Developers, Job Coaches, employers and community partners
• Know when to coach, when to support and when to step back.

Experienced - You have led engaging, hands-on learning with adults and know how to adjust your approach to support individual learning needs. You bring an understanding of person-centred, strengths-based employment and have helped people discover their interests, build skills, explore career possibilities, and work toward meaningful employment goals. Your experience may come from education, career development, community programming, supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, or other related fields. We value diverse experiences and recognize that the right combination of education, professional experience, and transferable skills can come from many paths.

Pay + perks (how we support you) 

• Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour. 
• Permanent Full Time
• Three weeks of vacation earned over your first year are available to use as you earn them.
