Please review the following job description:

Perform the recurring calculation, validation, documentation, and reporting activities for Truist's Scope 3 operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and related sustainability data processes, with guidance and review from senior sustainability leaders. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze emissions data, execute established reporting and control procedures, and contribute to improvements in data quality, operational efficiency, and environmental performance. Escalate novel methodological questions, significant data limitations, and reporting risks for review and resolution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.  

1.    Perform the collection, validation, calculation, and documentation of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions data across applicable operational emissions categories, using established methodologies and with guidance from senior sustainability leaders.
2.    Coordinate with internal business partners, including Sourcing, Corporate Real Estate & Workplace, Corporate Travel, Human Resources, and technology teams, to obtain and clarify data necessary for emissions calculations and reporting.
3.    Perform data analysis and quality reviews to identify discrepancies, trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement; resolve routine issues and escalate complex or material issues.
4.    Prepare activity and emissions data and documentation for internal reporting, sustainability disclosures, surveys, and other stakeholder requests.
5.    Maintain supporting documentation, procedures, and controls, and apply established methodologies related to greenhouse gas calculations and sustainability reporting processes.
6.    Execute assigned internal control, validation, governance, and third-party verification activities.
7.    Complete and help manage activities within sustainability calculation and broader corporate sustainability data validation platforms.
8.    Identify and recommend opportunities to improve data quality, process efficiency, automation, and reporting consistency, and implement approved improvements.
9.    Develop sustainability-related presentations, analyses, reports, and responses to internal and external information requests.
10.    Partner with technology and business teams to support integration of sustainability data into enterprise systems and reporting processes.
11.    Monitor developments in greenhouse gas accounting standards, reporting frameworks, and emerging disclosure requirements; summarize developments and escalate potential implications to senior sustainability leaders.
12.    Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing operational greenhouse gas emissions through data analysis, research, and stakeholder support and engagement.

Corporate Sustainability Partner Required Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience
2.    4+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental reporting, ESG, analytics, risk, compliance, reporting, or related functions
3.    Working knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting methodologies and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
4.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5.    Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in Excel or similar analytical tools
6.    Effective written and verbal communication skills
7.    Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across functions, follow established procedures, and seek guidance or escalate issues when appropriate

Corporate Sustainability Senior Partner Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2.    6+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including demonstrated ability to independently lead complex analytical, reporting, or data processes.
3.    In-depth and broad knowledge within own professional discipline, with demonstrated ability to make and explain complex technical and methodological judgments.
4.    Solid understanding of greenhouse gas calculation methodologies and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
5.    Proven abilities in Excel and other quantitative analysis tools.
6.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences, influence cross-functional stakeholders, lead work without direct authority, and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.
7.    Ability to listen and exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of competing business objectives and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.    Experience supporting sustainability reporting, ESG disclosures, or environmental data management
2.    Familiarity with sustainability reporting platforms, such as Watershed and Workiva
3.    Knowledge of voluntary sustainability reporting frameworks and evolving regulatory requirements
4.    Experience using business intelligence or analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, SAS, or Qlik
5.    Financial services industry experience
