The Role:

Provides excellent guest service by preparing and serving concession items, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role supports efficient stand operations during events and ensures positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•  Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and serve concession food and beverage items according to established procedures and portion standards.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and other payment methods.
• Collect payment and provide correct change to guests.
• Accurately enter all sales into the register to ensure proper recording of transactions.
• Verify identification for guests purchasing alcohol in accordance with company policy and regulations.
• Suggestively sell and upsell items on the menu to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
• Stock and replenish food, beverages, and supplies during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including counters, equipment, and service stations.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning, storing products, and removing trash and recyclables.
• Assist with stand setup and breakdown for events.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during high-volume events.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience          

• High School degree/GED or equivalent is required.
• Previous customer service, retail, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience handling cash or operating a point-of-sale (POS) system preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume or event-based environment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
• Responsible alcohol service certification required where applicable (or ability to obtain).

Skills and Abilities  

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests.
• Ability to operate a cash register or POS system and handle transactions accurately.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and making change.
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining speed and accuracy during high-volume service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand instructions and guest requests in English.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and operational needs.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
• Professional attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.

• This position requires stooping and lifting. Substantial standing, walking, pushing and or pulling of equipment.
• Daily lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. up to 10 minutes at a time.
• Constant reaching, standing, walking, and stooping.
• Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination
• Position requires walking and standing regularly.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
