As a Commercial Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Client Services team through reporting, data analysis, forecasting administration, presentation preparation, and operational governance activities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate account data, producing recurring reporting, preparing performance dashboards, and providing analytical support to Account Managers across strategic client portfolios.
The primary objective of this role is to enable Account Managers to focus on strategic client management and business growth by owning the preparation, maintenance, consolidation, tracking, and first-level analysis of operational, financial, and performance information. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple recurring deliverables in a fast-paced client environment.
You will work closely with Account Managers, Finance, Data & Insights, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Service Delivery teams to ensure accurate reporting, timely project support, and effective account governance.
Management Information, Reporting & Data Analytics
· Produce accurate and timely management information, operational reporting, and performance dashboards.
· Maintain revenue tracking spreadsheets, forecasting files, and supporting analytical reports.
· Prepare recurring executive presentations, governance materials, WBR packs, business reviews, and client reporting.
· Consolidate data from multiple reporting platforms and business systems to support account management activities.
· Produce ad hoc reporting, investigations, and data analysis requested by clients, leadership teams, or internal stakeholders.
· Support development, testing, and continuous improvement of reporting processes and data automation tools.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Administration
· Maintain agreed planning, forecasting, and budget files with approved financial information.
· Update forecast models and reporting tools using inputs provided by Account Managers and Finance teams.
· Consolidate historical performance data, financial assumptions, and supporting documentation required for forecasting and budget cycles.
· Support monthly, quarterly, and annual planning activities through accurate maintenance of planning systems and reports.
· Maintain invoice tracking files, payment status records, and reconciliation documentation.
Account Governance & Executive Support
· Prepare scorecards, performance summaries, briefing materials, and supporting documentation for internal and client meetings.
· Consolidate operational, financial, service, and client performance information to support governance reviews and executive presentations.
· Organize and maintain account documentation, reporting repositories, and governance trackers.
· Coordinate data collection and validation activities across multiple internal teams.
Marketing & Client Communication Support
· Review customer-facing communications and mailers for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client requirements.
· Document feedback, manage change requests, and coordinate approval workflows with internal stakeholders.
· Maintain supporting documentation related to client communications and campaign reporting.
Process Management & Operational Support
· Create, manage, and track data-related tickets and follow-up actions with relevant business teams.
· Maintain operational trackers and account management tools to ensure reporting accuracy and transparency.
· Support continual improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and reporting enhancements.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field.
· Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, including data manipulation, reporting, and presentation development.
· Experience managing recurring reporting and operational governance activities.
· Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a complex stakeholder environment.
· Experience working with Tableau, Power BI, Planful, CRM platforms, or similar reporting systems is highly desirable.
