CSA - Primary Class Assistant

Purpose of Role

To support the primary class teacher in managing classroom activities, ensuring student safety, and assisting young learners in their academic, social, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher during teaching and learning activities.
• Support students with classroom work, worksheets, and learning materials.
• Help maintain discipline and ensure a safe, caring classroom environment.
• Assist students with personal care needs (toilet support, hygiene, meals) where required.
• Supervise students during arrival, dispersal, recess, lunch, and school activities.
• Help in preparing teaching aids, displays, and classroom materials.
• Support students with special or individual learning needs under teacher guidance.
• Accompany students during field trips, assemblies, and school events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
• Communicate observations about students to the class teacher.
