We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Claims Department as a Claims Agent, an entry-level position pivotal to our operational success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, adept problem-solving abilities, and robust organizational skills, coupled with the capacity to effectively prioritize urgent tasks.

Operating within a collaborative team environment, the Claims Agent will uphold a positive and professional demeanor while executing their responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Claims Manager, this role entails the acquisition, documentation, research, and processing of claims on behalf of the company, internally.

Moreover, candidates should exhibit proficiency in navigating challenging conversations and possess negotiation skills essential for effective resolution.

This is a nonexempt role, with an expected schedule of 7:00am to 4:00pm Mon-Fri.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with customers, employees, vendors, and insurance providers via phone and email to collect information and documentation needed for claims.
• Take statements from internal and external parties to establish timelines, facts, and liability
• Manage claims from initial intake through investigation, coordination, and closure, ensuring all actions are accurately recorded in the claims management system.
• Review documentation, photos, estimates, and reports to confirm coverage, assess liability, and support fair, cost-effective resolutions.
• Maintain detailed notes and supporting records to ensure complete, compliant claim files.
• Apply general knowledge of Greenix products, services, and application methods when assessing property or service-related incidents.
• Collaborate closely with the Claims Manager and the rest of the team to ensure claim accuracy, consistency, and timely resolution.
• Uphold a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Identify recurring issues or trends in claims data and share insights that support safety and process improvements.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical knowledge and strengthen claim-handling skills.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or specialized training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in claims, insurance, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and make sound decisions.

Preferred

• Experience handling property, auto, or workers’ compensation claims.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and state workers’ comp regulations.
• Technical aptitude for reviewing documentation, damage assessments, or medical records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and data-tracking systems.
