Business Office Manager -Skilled Nursing Facility

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced and organized Business Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash posting
• Manage Medicare, Medicaid, private-pay, and insurance billing processes
• Verify resident financial information and maintain accurate account records
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Assist residents and families with billing questions and financial paperwork
• Coordinate closely with the Administrator, admissions team, corporate office, and department leaders
• Process accounts payable, deposits, and other business office transactions
• Support payroll and employee-related administrative functions as needed
• Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal regulations
• Protect confidential resident, employee, and financial information

Qualifications:

• Previous business office, billing, or accounts receivable experience in a skilled nursing facility is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private-pay billing
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare billing or accounting software
• A professional, compassionate approach when working with residents, families, and team members
