Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business stakeholders across Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, and Engineering to understand business needs and operational challenges.
- Facilitate requirement gathering workshops, process walkthroughs, fit-gap analysis, and solution design discussions.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, process flows, integration requirements, and solution design documents.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business process owners and help challenge requirements where SAP standard or scalable design should be adopted.
- Support business case development, impact analysis, process harmonization, and change readiness activities.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple regions and functions.
2. SAP MM / WM / Inventory & Logistics Solution Design
- Provide functional and solution design expertise across SAP MM, WM/EWM, Inventory Management, Procurement, Warehouse Operations, and Logistics processes.
- Design scalable and sustainable SAP solutions covering goods movement, inventory management, stock transfers, material master data, inbound/outbound logistics, and supplier/3PL integrations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions aligned with enterprise standards and operational needs.
- Review and support functional specifications, system integrations, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure solutions support inventory accuracy, material traceability, warehouse efficiency, operational compliance, and business process optimization.
3. SAP S/4HANA Transformation & Delivery
- Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrade, migration, and transformation initiatives, supporting end-to-end project delivery.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders on fit-to-standard design, process harmonization, data migration, system integration, testing, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Assess the impact of S/4HANA on existing MM, WM/EWM, logistics, warehouse, and integration processes, and recommend appropriate solution approaches.
- Promote adoption of SAP standard capabilities and best practices while aligning solutions with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
- Support business readiness, change management, training, documentation, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization activities to ensure successful transformation outcomes.
4. Warehouse Automation & Smart Warehouse Integration
- Lead or support solution design and delivery for warehouse automation, digital transformation, and system integration initiatives.
- Design integrations between SAP MM/WM/EWM and external warehouse solutions, including ASRS, VLM, AGV/AMR, WMS, WCS, WES, 3PL platforms, RFID/barcode, and material handling equipment (MHE).
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, engineering teams, automation vendors, system integrators, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end warehouse and logistics solutions.
- Ensure seamless inventory synchronization, material movement tracking, inventory visibility, traceability, and process automation across SAP and connected systems.
- Participate in requirements gathering, testing, commissioning, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing support, including troubleshooting integration issues across SAP, middleware, warehouse systems, and automation platforms.
5. 3PL, WMS, WCS & External/Boundary System Integration
- Design and support integrations between SAP and external warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, and 3PL systems to enable seamless end-to-end business processes.
- Collaborate with business, technical, middleware, and vendor teams to define integration requirements across inventory, warehouse execution, material movement, inbound/outbound logistics, and shipment processes.
- Support integration solutions utilizing standard enterprise technologies such as APIs, IDocs, RFCs, middleware, web services, EDI, and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure reliable connectivity between SAP and external platforms, including WMS, WCS/WES, ASRS, AGV/AMR, MES, carrier systems, supplier portals, and other warehouse automation solutions.
- Validate end-to-end process integration and support operational readiness through effective monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
6. Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead or participate in global and regional SAP, warehouse, and logistics transformation projects.
- Manage assigned project deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities across business users, SAP functional teams, technical teams, vendors, infrastructure teams, and external partners.
- Prepare project documentation including requirements, design documents, test scripts, cutover plans, training materials, and support handover documents.
- Ensure solutions comply with company standards, IT governance, cybersecurity requirements, data controls, and quality expectations.
- Support program status reporting, issue escalation, and decision-making forums.
7. Production Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide Level 2 / Level 3 functional support for SAP MM, WM, logistics, and warehouse integration issues.
- Analyze production incidents and identify root causes across SAP, middleware, WMS, WCS, 3PL, and automation systems.
- Drive permanent corrective actions and reduce recurring operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve warehouse efficiency, enhance system reliability, and increase automation adoption.
- Support audit, compliance, operational excellence, and business continuity requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement roadmaps for supply chain, warehouse, and logistics technology capabilities.
8. AI, Digital Innovation & Intelligent Automation
- Drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and Intelligent Automation to improve business processes, user productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and leverage enterprise AI capabilities such as SAP Joule, Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, and Machine Learning to support supply chain, warehouse, procurement, and logistics operations.
- Identify opportunities to automate business processes, enhance decision-making, and improve user experience using AI-powered solutions across SAP and enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to define AI use cases, assess business value, and develop scalable digital solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, translating innovation opportunities into practical business outcomes.
- Support the integration of AI-enabled capabilities within SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business AI (Joule), Microsoft 365 Copilot, and related enterprise applications to accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
