EquipmentShare is hiring a Bulk Fuel Specialist (CDL) at our onsite in Hubbard, TX, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The Bulk Fuel Specialist (non-cdl) is essential for the safe and timely transport and delivery of equipment, products, and materials, while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (Includes working weekends)
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate fuel trucks and bulk fueling equipment to safely deliver diesel fuel and DEF throughout the jobsite.
- Fuel heavy construction equipment, generators, light plants, pumps, and other Diesel and Gasoline-powered assets according to established schedules and site requirements.
- Prioritize and maintain fueling of critical-path equipment to prevent equipment downtime and production delays.
- Conduct scheduled fueling rounds, including day and night operations as required.
- Monitor fuel and DEF levels and identify equipment requiring immediate attention.
- Perform wet-nozzling operations in accordance with company, customer, and jobsite safety procedures.
- Verify equipment/unit numbers before fueling and ensure all fueling activity is accurately documented.
- Complete daily fuel and DEF logs, including unit number, fuel quantity, DEF quantity, date, time, and operator information.
- Inspect fuel trucks, hoses, nozzles, pumps, tanks, and related equipment before, during and after operation.
- Report leaks, spills, damaged equipment, low fuel levels, or other safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around fueling areas and ensure spill-prevention measures are in place.
- Follow all environmental requirements regarding fuel handling, spill prevention, containment, and disposal.
- Ensure fuel caps, access panels, and equipment are properly secured after fueling.
- Coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, maintenance personnel, and site management regarding fueling needs.
- Respond promptly to emergency or priority fueling requests.
- Assist with maintaining fuel inventory and communicate when bulk fuel replenishment is required.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, customer requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and training as required.
- Maintain a professional attitude and positive working relationship with customers, employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Follow all fuel-handling, PPE, fire-prevention, and spill-response requirements.
- Wear required PPE at all times while performing fueling operations.
- Maintain awareness of moving equipment, personnel, electrical hazards, and other jobsite conditions.
- Never fuel equipment when conditions create an unsafe situation.
- Properly respond to and report fuel spills in accordance with the site emergency response plan.
- Keep fueling equipment clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
- Complete required inspections and documentation accurately and on time.
Education and Experience:
- Must be safety-conscious and committed to maintaining reliable equipment uptime
- Previous experience fueling heavy equipment, construction equipment, generators, or other Diesel and Gasoline-powered equipment preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by a 24/7 construction operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
- Ability to safely lift, handle, and manipulate fueling hoses and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately complete written and electronic documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and work around heavy equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to safely handle fuel hoses, nozzles, and related fueling equipment.
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environments, including extreme heat, cold, dust, mud, and inclement weather.
- Ability to climb in and out of fuel trucks and access equipment fueling points safely.
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
