We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager or Manager to join our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team based in Adelaide. BDO's Risk Advisory Team provides a full range of risk solutions to help our clients navigate a diverse range of challenges, changes, and opportunities. The services the team provide includes:

• Risk Consulting

• Internal Audit

• Processes Improvement – including Process Mapping and Control Remediation

• Third Party Assurance

• Business Continuity and Resilience Services

• Compliance Advisory.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading and delivering a variety of internal audits, business risk assurance and business process improvement projects in accordance with BDO’s methodologies and procedures, including report writing and client communication

• Managing engagement teams, including allocating work, reviewing outputs and ensuring delivery to quality and timeline expectations

• Providing clear, actionable recommendations to improve policies, processes, systems and controls

• Supporting and leading proposal development, scoping and client presentations, contributing to winning new work

• Overseeing project planning and scheduling across engagements, ensuring efficient utilisation of team resources

• Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members, providing regular feedback and supporting their career progression

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, and working with Partners and Directors to identify and drive new business opportunities

About You

• Demonstrated experience in internal audit, risk advisory or a related role, with experience leading engagements

• Proven ability to manage and develop team members, including coaching and reviewing work

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently engage with clients and senior stakeholders

• Ideally an accounting or business-related degree

• Strong working knowledge of internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO31000)

• Proven experience delivering internal audits, risk assessments and risk management framework reviews

• Experience reviewing financial and operational processes and controls, with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities
