Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Application Engineer （Software）located in Suzhou.

Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, the Application Engineer （Software）role involves customer software requirements review and creating requirement document, working together with software development and test team during product development, providing local technical support to Sales and Quality team for questions and issues from customer.

What a typical day looks like:

• Use technical knowledge of products and associated development tools to assist customers on complex issues during their actuator related system development.

• Contribute to product development by determining customer product needs and translating these needs into new product recommendations and specifications.

• Regular customer visits w/ sales team MCi to support project acquisition.

• Contribute to development of complex product roadmaps.

• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with product and business development teams, external and internal (MCi HQ, MCi SZ, Flex SDC,..)

• Review customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues and provide recommendations that will meet both MCi capability & standards and customers’ specifications.

• Identify and communicate existing and potential design issues both internally and externally.

• Coordinate product introduction efforts between component suppliers, MCi and the customer.

• Provide support for developing and presenting technical seminars for customers and sales personnel to promote new MCi products and applications.

• Provide support for conducting product benchmark and reporting

• Provide best in class complex technical support by answering and closing all customer and program management technical support questions related to manufacturing capabilities including: design, fabrication and assembly abilities.

• Prepare and maintain required documentation.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Engineering background with Bachelor degree or above (Electronics or related)
• At least 5 years working experiences;
• Fluent in oral and writing English and Mandarin
• Demonstrated experience with multiple product cycles at OEM from quote, development, launch to sustaining.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of and experience with the Automotive quality systems IATF 16949 and ISO 14001, ASPICE and ISO 26262
• Experience working in a customer environment (and without sales supervision)
• Ability to travel on a weekly basis
• Willingness to travel international/intercontinental；
• Willing to continuously learn new technologies
• Pro-active team leader

• Able to work under pressure
• Solid negotiation skills
• Good sense of responsibility, initiative and teamwork.
