This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and integrating high-quality applications using modern Microsoft technologies, including C#/.NET 8, SQL Server, Web API and Vue.js.
You will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders and end users to deliver robust, scalable and secure solutions while contributing to a collaborative and delivery-focused environment. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract based in Darwin, NT.
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET 8.
- Develop modern web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Vue.js.
- Build and integrate Web APIs, REST services and web applications.
- Work with SQL Server, SQL and database design.
- Implement data access using ORM technologies such as Entity Framework or LINQ2DB.
- Develop clean, maintainable and secure application code.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing and debugging.
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders and end users to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to technical designs, database models, functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Work with source control, issue tracking and CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Jira and Bamboo.
- Support integrations involving REST APIs and messaging services.
- Contribute to application architecture, security and deployment considerations.
- Participate in development, integration and release activities.
- Work effectively within a small, collaborative and multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Bring
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using C# and .NET, particularly .NET 8.
- Extensive experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server and Visual Studio Code.
- Strong web development skills across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Vue.js.
- Experience developing single-page applications (SPA).
- Strong experience with Web API, REST and web application development, including IIS.
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework, LINQ2DB or similar ORM technologies.
- Strong SQL and database development and design skills.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, including Bitbucket, Jira and Bamboo.
- Understanding of application and system architecture across presentation, business, service, data and database layers.
- Understanding of dependency injection, unit testing and continuous integration.
- Experience producing and working with technical documentation, database models, functional specifications and technical designs.
- Understanding of networking, security, infrastructure and application environments.
- Experience with WPF/XAML, messaging services, OpenAPI specifications and database migration would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
