About the job:

The AI Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying and improving AI agents and agentic workflows that automate routine operational work, augment teams, and improve speed, quality and scalability across the business.

This role is not about building disconnected experiments. It is about delivering real workflow change in priority areas, initially focused on Support, Sales, Professional Services and internal operational workflows. The role works closely with functional leaders and frontline teams to identify high value use cases, redesign workflows, deploy safe and useful agents, and ensure adoption in day-to-day operations.

The AI Automation Engineer helps shift repetitive, rules based and data intensive work to AI agents, while preserving human ownership of judgment, sensitive customer interactions, escalations, quality assurance, exception handling and continuous knowledge improvement.

About the Job

This position sits within our New Products division, building new products on a modern technology stack.

Our engineering teams are organized as functional pods: small groups that own a product end to end, from data model through to release, with no dependency on a separate team to deploy. This structure requires engineers who work confidently across the full stack, exercise independent judgment without detailed specifications, and deliver at pace.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer-facing products using Next.js and Python, backed by PostgresQL
• Develop Al-powered product features, including retrieval over customer data, agentic workflows and natural-language interfaces
• Implement integrations with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot, and with the hospitality systems our customers operate
• Own the underlying data layer, covering schema design, query performance and data exchange with external systems

AI-Native Engineering

This position assumes fluency with Al in two respects. Building with Al: demonstrated experience delivering features on LLM APIs, including prompt design, structured output, evaluation of output quality, cost management at scale, and judgment about when a model is not the appropriate solution.

Developing with Al: established use of tools such as Claude Code or Cursor in your standard workflow, with sound judgment about what to delegate, what requires verification, and where these tools produce inaccurate results.

Requirements

• Profesional proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Next.js, with suficient breadth to adopt additional languages as required
• Strong database capability beyond basic operations, including schema design, indexing and query optimization
• Experience integrating third-party APls, covering authentication, rate limiting, pagination and failure handling A demonstrated record of delivering software to production and supporting it in operation
• Sound product judgment, with the ability to scope work from objectives rather than specifications Written English suitable for daily asynchronous collaboration with colleagues in North America

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospitality or travel technology; Salesforce or HubSpot development; vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation or agent frameworks; cloud infrastructure and CI/CD

Working environment

• Pods carry genuine ownership, including visibility of how their products perform in production. All work is peer reviewed, and we prioritize delivering focused functionality and iterating on it over long planning cycles.
• The Lebanon office collaborates daily with colleagues in North America, with some overlap hours expected.
