Put Your Sales Experience to Work in Insurance

The John Kim Agency is looking for a motivated, sales-focused Agent in Training to join our Farmers Insurance agency in La Palma.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys connecting with people, working toward measurable goals, and building long-term customer relationships. You'll work directly with individuals, families, and businesses to understand their insurance needs and recommend coverage that fits their situation.

We're especially interested in candidates who already have insurance experience or have demonstrated success in a sales environment and are ready to continue developing their skills.

What You'll Do

• Connect with prospective customers through outbound calls, leads, referrals, and networking

• Ask questions to understand each customer's needs, priorities, and current coverage

• Prepare quotes and recommend appropriate insurance solutions

• Sell and cross-sell Auto, Home, Life, Commercial, and other insurance products

• Follow up consistently with prospective customers and maintain an active sales pipeline

• Build lasting relationships with new and existing clients

• Identify additional coverage opportunities through ongoing conversations and policy reviews

• Work toward individual production goals and contribute to overall agency growth

• Maintain organized records of customer conversations and follow-up activity

• Continue developing your knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and sales strategies

What We're Looking For

• Previous insurance or sales experience strongly preferred

• Active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work toward sales goals and performance expectations

• Confident and professional communication skills

• Comfortable with outbound calling and consistent prospect follow-up

• Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities

• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple opportunities

• Coachable and receptive to feedback

• Bilingual skills are a plus

Training & Professional Development
