About the Role
The Account Manager owns commercial outcomes across a large, mixed portfolio of rePurpose Global customers. This is a quota-carrying role responsible for renewals, expansion, and long-term account growth. You will work inside a CS pod alongside Customer Success Managers, partnering closely to develop account plans, surface opportunities, and ensure customers are getting measurable value from the platform. You will also help build the playbook — this function is new, and you will have direct influence over how it operates.
Key Responsibilities
Renewals and retention
Own the full renewal cycle across a portfolio of 100+ accounts — forecasting accurately, managing risk proactively, and closing on time
Identify at-risk accounts early and partner with your pod's CSMs on retention plans before issues escalate
Negotiate multi-year agreements where appropriate
Expansion and growth
Carry an individual quota tied to expansion revenue — upsell, cross-sell, and contract upgrades across your book of business
Partner with CSMs to develop account plans that map customer goals to rePurpose capabilities and surface expansion opportunities
Manage expansion deal cycles from identification through close, coordinating with Sales where appropriate
Forecast pipeline accurately and maintain clean account data in HubSpot
Customer relationships
Serve as a primary commercial point of contact for your portfolio, building trust across multiple stakeholder levels
Conduct regular business reviews that connect customer outcomes to the value rePurpose delivers
Anticipate customer needs and bring solutions proactively — before issues become escalations
Playbook and process building
Help define and build the AM function from the ground up — this is a new motion and you will have direct influence over how it operates
Develop and iterate on account planning frameworks, renewal playbooks, and expansion triggers in partnership with CS leadership
Surface patterns across your portfolio to inform team-wide process improvements
Cross-functional partnership
Work inside a CS pod with CSMs, sharing account context, aligning on customer health, and coordinating on timing for commercial conversations
Bring structured product feedback to Product and Engineering — synthesized across accounts, not escalated one at a time
Collaborate with Sales on handoffs, expansion deal support, and pipeline coordination
Requirements
3+ years in a quota-carrying account management or SaaS sales role, with documented success against renewal and expansion targets
Proven ability to manage a high-volume portfolio independently — organized, self-directed, and doesn't need every process handed to them
Strong commercial instincts: comfortable with pricing conversations, contract negotiation, and forecasting
Experience working inside a pod or cross-functional team structure, with a track record of collaborating effectively with CS or delivery counterparts
Comfortable with HubSpot or a comparable CRM — keeps pipeline clean and uses data to prioritize
AI-forward mindset — actively uses AI tools to manage volume, prioritize accounts, and improve customer interactions
Adaptable and comfortable in a startup environment with evolving processes, products, and priorities
Nice to have:
Experience in a high-volume account management environment (100+ accounts) where prioritization and efficiency were critical
Background in sustainability, packaging, compliance, or impact-driven businesses
Experience building or contributing to a new commercial motion or playbook in an early-stage function
