We're looking for a Tech Lead to own technical direction for Asana's Platform Reliability Engineering team. This role is for someone who thrives as a technical leader without needing to take on people management.
At Asana, Tech Leads own technical execution, architecture, and long-term engineering strategy. You'll lead complex projects, make key technical decisions, and set the standard for engineering quality. You'll guide ICs through technical design and project leadership, and partner with teams across the company. An Engineering Manager handles people leadership – you own the technical direction.
Your team will build core platform systems like load shedding, rate limiting, circuit breakers, and traffic controls that protect Asana under real-world load. This is hands-on work – you'll spend significant time designing and building systems alongside the team, while partnering with other platform teams to make reliability something that's built in, not bolted on.

The Content Creation team owns Notes and Canvas products of Box's platform. The functionality that this team builds is used by our largest cohorts of users (versus just admin users). They are the only true real-time service at Box, using web sockets to deliver a real-time editing product. It's a complex problem space that we are experts in, and it's a great team to join if you want to contribute to creating one of the most vital Box products. The team is mostly developing Front-End with React.js, for Back-End tasks they use mostly Node.js.
Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality, scalable, and responsive software using modern technologies.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practices.
Partner with cross-functional teams to onboard, share knowledge, and align on current responsibilities and priorities
Participate in regular team meetings and manager 1:1s to ensure alignment, growth, and continuous improvement

Requirements:
6+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in Node.js for backend.
Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React); strong understanding of state management, accessibility, performance, and security basics.
Experience designing and implementing APIs and services; solid grasp of system design and data modeling.
Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
Passionate about new technologies with the capability to implement them in existing products.
Demonstrates ownership mentality and strives for excellence in both technical work and team interactions.

WHY BOX NEEDS YOU?
As a Senior Software Engineer at Box, you will be a part of the team maintaining and developing the web platform. You will be involved in initiatives leveraging up the platform capabilities. Hexana is a project within JetBrains’ Innovation Hub. We’re building a reverse engineering and binary analysis toolkit that brings semantic understanding of compiled binaries into the IDE and AI-assisted disassembly workflows.
We started developing Hexana with WebAssembly and have already shipped an MVP with over 1,000 downloads and early adopters that include teams at Oracle and various others from within the Kotlin ecosystem. Now we’re expanding into the broader binary world: ELF, Mach-O, PE, APE, LLVM bytecode, and more. The goal is to define a new category inside the IDE ecosystem.
We’re now looking for a Product Manager to help move Hexana from early validation to a scalable, strategically positioned product by driving research, refining direction, and building the case for long-term impact.

We’re looking for individuals that are highly proficient in their respective technology platform, articulate, solution driven, client focused, and proactive in building their technology skills.
You will be part of the team that builds a multitenant data platform to onboard internal and external data sources and perform a central role in data ingestion, consumption, and cataloguing. You will join a team of experts in data pipelines focusing on data streaming and acquisition, storage of the data in multiple forms (raw, normalized, operational vs historical), ELT, transformation, distribution, access layers for different types of technical access and entitlements. Building and enhancing our data platform includes applying data lake components with raw data, joined operational data, a warehouse for history and API, and an access layer, across on prem and cloud technologies and clients. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and providing best practices for the team managing the Data Platform on AWS for our Firm. You will work closely with the architect/business for gathering requirements and delivering. As a Lead Python Engineer, you will be:
• Working together with Engineering Managers and the rest of Leadership team in Poland and US
• Planning projects and successfully delivering them with the team
• Building data ingestion pipelines in the cloud and assisting in extending our AWS cloud offering
• Working extensively in Databricks platform and leveraging all of the Databricks features (pipelines, Unity Catalogue, streaming, etc)
• Improving excellence of the team, processes, and practices within the company
• Working with customers towards a project’s success
The ideal candidate should be experienced in Python and AWS Cloud with good communication skills.
• Excellent Python and software craftsmanship skills (more than 3 years)
• Experience with working in microservices framework and event-driven architectures
• Experience with Spark (building scalable and maintainable pipelines in PySpark and Scala)
• Experience with Spark Streaming (building low latency pipelines)
