Our Database Experience (DBX) Team

The Database Experience team builds the libraries and tools that developers use day-to-day working with MongoDB. Our mission is to increase developer adoption, satisfaction and retention by providing a reliable, enjoyable interface for developers and other end-users.

For this role, we're looking for someone who would enjoy designing, writing, and supporting open-source libraries using MongoDB. You will have the opportunity to work with other veteran Java programmers, as you deepen your knowledge of the Java ecosystem, and help streamline and increase the adoption of MongoDB.

• Java driver, Java Reactive Streams Driver, Scala Driver, Kotlin Driver, Spark Connector, and other JVM-based projects
• Integrations with other open-source software, such as ORM frameworks and AI tools
• Testing, delivering and supporting the above across multiple operating systems, JDKs, and MongoDB releases

You'll have responsibilities beyond writing code, including

• Working with our Product, Server, Cloud, and other driver teams on designs and specifications for new customer-facing MongoDB features
• Investigating bugs and support requests from commercial and open-source customers for the libraries and tools our team maintains
• Seeking out speaking or writing opportunities to engage with our developer community

What you’ll do

As a Security Operations Engineer at Brex, you will focus on preventing, detecting and responding to security threats across Brex's corporate and cloud environments. You will use existing systems and develop tools to improve our security capabilities. Our team is responsible for functions across corporate security, detection & response and infrastructure security domains; and we perform systems engineering and automation to support those functions.

We’re looking for individuals with a strong background and interest in detecting, responding to, and resolving security incidents and security challenges. Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Responsibilities

• Work on a highly cross-functional team to prevent, detect and respond to security threats across Brex's corporate and cloud environments
• Perform security incident response, investigation, remediation, and documentation, participate in periodic threat hunting and security exercises
• Leading, scoping and building features, participate in designing, and maintaining tools and systems which support the team’s domains – corporate security, detection & response and infrastructure security 
• Collaborating and partnering with engineering and operations teams to drive remediation of security issues, while balancing prioritization of those security issues within SLA and teams’ respective backlogs
• Caring about secure system design, valuing building things correctly, an understanding of a MVP approach and an empathetic mindset when working with others

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR equivalent training / fellowship OR 5+ years work experienceExperience working in a corporate security, detection & response or infrastructure security role with responsibilities for security alert triage and security incident response 
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps workflows (e.g. Buildkite, Flux, Git, Terraform) in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with deploying and maintaining some of the security services and tools owned by the team (e.g. - SIEM, data pipelines, SOAR, domain monitoring, endpoint tooling, email protection tooling, cloud security tools)
• While not primarily a development role, the team develops and maintains tools written in Go and Python, so experience with coding is required

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $192,000 - $240,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.

The Team

Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, deployment machinery, and observability and alerting systems.

The Fabric team manages the infrastructure that enables secure communication between systems and from the public internet. Their responsibilities encompass network architecture, service mesh, and edge load balancing, ensuring customer data remains safe in transit. The team plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining the reliable and globally connected multi-cloud network that supports MongoDB products.

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong networking background to join the Fabric team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining the robust infrastructure necessary for secure and efficient communication between our services. As an SRE on the Fabric team, you will leverage your expertise in networking, distributed systems, and automation to ensure our systems are resilient, scalable, and reliable.

The ideal candidate should

• Have 10+ years of experience working on software and operating distributed systems, with deep expertise in networking fundamentals and a good understanding of how the internet works, e.g. TCP/IP (including IPv6), DNS, TLS/mTLS, BGP, tunnels, overlays, and SDN principles
• Possess a customer-focused mindset, driving improvements that benefit end-users
• Value efficiency in processes and operations, and display a strong preference for automation over manual processes (“allergic to ops work”)

We’re looking for a Software Engineer 3 to help design, build, and operate the services that power Cloud Payments. You’ll work primarily in the JVM ecosystem (Java and related tooling), with a focus on large-scale, distributed systems that have to be correct, resilient, and auditable.

This is a Canada-based, fully remote role. You’ll collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders across North America time zones, including engineers in the broader Cloud Billing organization.

• Design, implement, and operate backend services that ingest, process, and reconcile large volumes of usage and billing data from internal and external systems
• Collaborate with product, Finance, Revenue, and other engineering teams to evolve our billing and payments capabilities and improve customer experience
• Own features end‑to‑end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, rollout, monitoring, and iterative improvement

What we’re looking for

You may be a great fit if you:

• Have 3+ years of experience building and maintaining backend systems in a compiled language, ideally Java
• Understand core object‑oriented design principles and how to apply them to complex, evolving systems

You'll be working alongside our largest customers and partners, solving their complex issues - resolving questions on architecture, performance, recovery, security, and everything in between.

You'll be an expert resource on standard methodologies in running MongoDB at scale, whatever that scale may be. You'll be an advocate for customers' and partners’ needs - working with our product management and development teams on their behalf. 

You'll contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics. Externally, you will work with many of MongoDB's top ISV partners and ensure excellence for our joint customers.

What you need

It’s important for candidates to check off these boxes:

• Systems engineering experience, including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting
• Should have a good understanding of Networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
• Experience managing large scale databases (e.g. RDBMS or NoSQL)

About this position:

As a Senior Security Engineer at Later, you will play a critical role in strengthening and scaling the security foundations that power our platform. This role blends deep security expertise with hands-on engineering, with a particular focus on identity and access management, authentication systems, and secure-by-design development practices.

You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Product teams to embed security into our CI/CD pipelines, internal platforms, and customer-facing systems—enabling teams to move quickly while keeping our systems, data, and users safe. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thinks like a defender, builds like a software engineer, and leads through influence.

What you'll be doing:

Strategy

• Assess and continuously improve Later’s security posture across applications, infrastructure, and development workflows
• Define and implement scalable security standards, guardrails, and best practices that support compliance through automated and auditable solutions
• Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to align security priorities with business objectives and delivery timelines
• emerging risks and proactively design systems and processes that reduce long-term exposure

Technical/ Execution

• Own identity and access management across Later’s platform, including authentication, authorization, and secure machine-to-machine (M2M) processes
• Design, implement, and maintain secure authentication systems for both internal tools and customer-facing experiences
• Harden login systems, establish consistent authentication patterns across services, and ensure secure integration between tools
• Build and maintain internal security tooling to support secure development, operational visibility, and compliance workflows
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, secret management, and secure build/deploy practices
• Partner with engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, clearly communicate risk and impact, and drive effective remediation

What you bring:

• 5–7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a strong security focus
• Proven experience building and operating production-grade software, systems, or internal tooling
• Strong background in application security, infrastructure security, and secure CI/CD practices
• Hands-on experience with identity and access management, including authentication systems, authorization frameworks, and machine-to-machine security patterns
• Experience applying security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, or CIS Controls in real-world production environments
• Familiarity with cloud security tooling (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or GCP Security Command Center), SIEM/SOAR tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code security scanning (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
• Familiarity with modern backend systems (including C#) and cloud-native architectures
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence engineering teams to improve security outcomes

Our approach to compensation:

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. 

Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Position Overview:  

Diligent is ‘All-In’ on AI and is seeking a dynamic and strategic AI leader to join our team as an AI Solutions Architect. As part of the Business Applications and Analytics team, this crucial role is designed to accelerate our Internal AI capabilities across multiple business functions, including Marketing, GTM/Sales, Customer Success & Support, Finance, HR, Legal, and Product and Engineering teams. 

The primary goal of this position is to identify, prototype, deploy, and scale AI technologies and solutions that drive greater operational efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be a technically adept individual with business acumen, able to bridge the gap between robust technical implementations and business needs, with the ability to partner with various business leaders to spot and act on opportunities for AI-driven transformation and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business leaders to understand challenges, identify AI opportunities, and implement effective AI/GenAI solutions.
• Lead the ideation, prototyping, deployment, and scaling of AI/GenAI technologies and agentic solutions tailored to business needs.

• Practical Tinkerer: 5+ years in a technical role (software, data, DevOps, etc.), with hands on experience building end-to-end prototypes using GenAI tools (GPTs, Hugging Face, open-source LLMs, LangChain, Scikit-learn, etc.).
• Curious Explorer: Demonstrates a hands-on approach to learning in prompt-engineering, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, or API Integrations, with a commitment to rapid failure, iteration, and sharing findings.
• Data Wrangler: Possesses the ability to source, clean, and transform raw data, including spreadsheets, logs, APIs, or CRM exports, into structured inputs for AI experiments and prototypes.
• Code Crafter: Capable of writing scripts or small applications to connect models, cloud services, or data sources. Prior experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure, AWS, or GCP is beneficial, but willingness to learn is equally important.
• Business Translator: Experienced as a technical sales engineer or solutions consultant, capable of turning AI experiments into compelling stories and metrics that resonate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Responsible AI Mindset: Demonstrated experience in addressing privacy, security, bias, and ethics in professional work, with a strong familiarity with industry-specific data privacy, AI ethics, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
