ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Software Engineer III at LVT, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and testing software as part of a team of talented software engineers. You will be responsible for writing quality code, providing technical guidance, and innovating in software development. This position requires excellent programming and technical skills, mentorship and leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
Your day to day will be building new interfaces for our internal admin tools while maintaining and retiring the existing PHP app.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver high quality software: You love to ship. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high quality software that creates value for customers and meets product and engineering requirements. You will take ownership to ship your code into production and collaborate with QA, DevOps, SecOps and other teams to ensure a timely and reliable release of your software.Requirements gathering and documentation: When requirements are missing you will be proactive to find them out and document them.
- Reliability and performance: To ensure that your software is reliable and performant you will write and run tests, log metrics, and build dashboards and alerts. You will take ownership of the services you support and be the first to know if anything is going wrong.
- Team work: You will provide mentorship to Mid-level and Jr engineers and encourage the adoption of modern software engineering methodologies and technologies. You will collaborate with other software teams and company departments and work towards quality and results.
- Continuous Improvement: You’ll be on the lookout for ways to streamline our processes and work to optimize processes across teams and not a local minimum.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 5+ years of professional development experience with TypeScript
- 2+ years of professional development experience building and maintaining production fullstack PHP with SQL and Javascript.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails.
- Understanding and enthusiasm for working with Docker, orchestration, and CI/CD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges, and debug legacy software that lacks test coverage and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and switch between priorities quickly.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and familiarity with related tools and processes.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
As an Application Security Engineer at LVT, you will be a cornerstone of our commitment to building secure-by-design technology. You will partner deeply with our Engineering and Product teams to weave advanced security protocols into every layer of our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This isn’t just about finding bugs; it’s about architecting a proactive security culture and scaling our defenses alongside our rapid growth. You will serve as a technical expert, mentor, and advocate, ensuring our AI-driven platform remains as resilient as it is innovative.
This role is based in-office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Integration: Partner with Product and Engineering to embed reproducible, high-standard security practices directly into the SDLC.
- Defense Engineering: Develop and maintain sophisticated manual and automated security processes to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across our software ecosystem.
- Offensive Security: Lead proactive security initiatives including threat modeling, deep-dive code reviews, and offensive security exercises/penetration testing.
- Vulnerability Management: Architect and manage the deployment of vulnerability scanning tools, driving the remediation process to ensure rapid resolution of identified issues.
- Policy Stewardship: Assist in the development and continuous improvement of secure development policies and procedural documentation.
- Technical Translation: Communicate complex vulnerability details and risk assessments to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring organizational alignment.
- Security Culture: Mentor junior team members and foster a strong, transparent security culture across the company.
- Impact Measurement: Success in this role is measured by the reduction of critical vulnerabilities in production, the speed of remediation cycles, and the successful adoption of security tools by the broader engineering team.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Proven Experience: At least 2+ years of professional experience in an Information Security role with a focus on modern application environments.
- Cloud Proficiency: 2+ years of hands-on security experience with AWS and other cloud service platforms.
- Modern Stack Familiarity: Comfortable navigating common web languages and frameworks such as HTML, PHP, Node.js, React.js, Nest.js, and Next.js.
- Pipeline Expertise: A solid understanding of CI/CD tools including GitHub, Docker, Jfrog, CircleCI, and ArgoCD.
- Technical Depth: A comprehensive understanding of common application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and the tools used to combat them (SAST, DAST, SCA).
- IT Foundations: Strong grasp of IT fundamentals, including operating systems, networking protocols, and the OSI model.
- Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, or ISO/IEC 27001.
- Exceptional Communicator: Ability to articulate risk with clarity and professional poise, maintaining high levels of personal integrity.
- Preferred Credentials: A degree in IT/Security or industry certifications such as Security+, OSCP, GPEN, or ITCA are highly valued.
- Regulatory Experience: Prior experience working within compliance frameworks like SOC2 or FedRAMP is a plus.

The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to take a leading role in developing and maintaining one of our software brands. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work across the full stack of a mature SaaS product used in real-world daily operations. You’ll collaborate closely with product, customer success, and other stakeholders to deliver features, improve performance, and maintain reliability.

Senior Software Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join one or more product engineering teams building mission-critical Point of Sale and eCommerce SaaS platforms. This role balances technical execution, hands-on development, and cross-functional collaboration in a highly regulated, high-availability environment.
You will contribute to delivering secure, scalable, and reliable payment solutions while upholding a strong engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution & Development
- Write, review, and maintain high-quality code across backend, frontend, and/or mobile systems.
- Uphold coding standards and architecture best practices.
- Participate in design and code reviews, contributing constructive feedback to peers.
- Contribute to technical documentation and architectural designs.
- Champion a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate technical ideas and plans clearly in team settings.
- Translate product and business goals into well-scoped technical solutions.

- Contribute to sprint planning, delivery predictability, incident follow-ups, and technical debt management.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in code quality, testing, observability, and CI/CD.
- Help guide architectural decisions for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
Cloud-Based Point of Sale & Platform Features
- Inventory Management and PO sync: Items matrices, Vendor Catalog, Purchase Order Management, Multi-store inventory.
- CRM: Customer details capture, purchase history tracking, targeted marketing campaigns, gift card management, and loyalty rewards.
- Sales & Promotions: Custom discounts, bulk pricing, time-sensitive promotions, and bundled offers.
- Reporting & Analytics: Detailed dashboards and exportable reports covering best-sellers, profit margins, and more.
- Employee Management: User roles, time tracking, permissions, and cross-location metrics.
- Payment: Integration with Quilt Payment or external payment providers.
- eCommerce Sync: Integration with Quilt's internal eCommerce module or platforms like Shopify and DoorDash.
- Support platform reliability, uptime, and data integrity for merchants and partners.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortems, contributing to long-term fixes.
- Support PCI DSS, SOC 2, and other compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on, full-stack development experience with React (frontend) and PHP/MySQL (backend) .
- Experience building and operating SaaS platforms at scale.
- Strong understanding of modern backend systems (APIs, microservices, databases, cloud infrastructure).
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments with strong technical documentation practices.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems, eCommerce, or fintech
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or financial compliance standards.

- Design and implement robust backend features and improvements using PHP, with a strong focus on performance optimization and scalability for our distribution platform

What Sets You Up for Success:
