What You’re Great At:

You are a mobile engineer who ships. You bring 3–5 years of experience building and maintaining production mobile applications and are comfortable working across both iOS and Android environments. You think in systems, not just screens, and understand how mobile apps connect to broader product ecosystems.

You write clean, maintainable code and take pride in building high-quality user experiences. You are comfortable working in React Native while also diving into native code when needed. You collaborate well with product, design, and engineering partners and can translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You are proactive in identifying issues, improving performance, and addressing technical debt. You stay current with evolving mobile technologies and bring a thoughtful, pragmatic approach to building across platforms.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native (TypeScript, Expo, React Navigation/Expo Router)
• Integrate with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) modules when needed
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to scope, prioritize, and deliver mobile features
• Translate product requirements and Figma designs into high-quality mobile experiences
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Develop and maintain automated tests (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, XCTest, JUnit/MockK)
• Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve app performance and reliability
• Identify and reduce technical debt across mobile codebases

• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, QA, backend engineering, and product teams
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to Agile processes including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000/year

Location: This is a hybrid role but must be able to commute to the office in Draper, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactive Maintenance Program ownership 

• OKR Ownership: Directly drive outcomes against daily and weekly targets and key results around the parts in the field & proactive maintenance programs. 
• Logistics Supply Chain: Own the entire parts in the field supply chain, including inventory forecasting, capacity/demand analysis, managing procurement from providers & driving accountability to the work being completed by field technicians in a timely manner.
• Program Escalation: Oversee and escalate aging Work Orders and critical part orders, coordinating resources across internal teams and external partners to prevent unit failures and program delays.
• Performance Reporting: Track, maintain, and report on key program dashboards, utilizing analytical insights and forecasting methods to proactively optimize the maintenance schedule and reduce unit downtime.
• Root Cause Analysis: Manage parts in the field program by identifying problem patterns, logging all occurrences (e.g., sudden fuel drops), and escalating to appropriate owners for root cause mitigation 

Inventory and Parts Fulfillment

• Inventory Control: Own the accuracy of all parts in the field inventories, performing inventory audits to drive accountability with Field Service Partners (FSP’s) and ensure sufficient supply of all necessary components to prevent stockouts
• Order Fulfillment: Process and fulfill all customer orders for parts, kits, and components through ERP/Sales systems, guaranteeing timely and accurate shipments. 
• Fulfillment Escalation: Own the escalation and swift resolution of all out-of-SLA part orders, ensuring process failures are addressed immediately to protect downstream work streams.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal & external stakeholders regarding parts in the field logistics, ensuring seamless communication, fostering cross-functional trust and driving the necessary outcomes 

Process Optimization and System Integrity

• Continuous Improvement: Work closely with cross-functional leadership to escalate systemic problems, conduct regular support process reviews, and implement data-driven changes that optimize efficiency across all logistics lanes.
• System Integrity: Conduct regular audits of key operational systems (e.g., Service Now, ERP/WMS) to ensure data accuracy, proper usage, and compliance with established standards.

We are seeking a mid-level Full Stack Engineer with 3–5 years of experience building production-grade mobile applications and contributing to backend systems. This role will support and enhance Place Inc’s portfolio of mobile applications—including Brivity Go, Brivity Home, the Place Partner App, Brivity Open House, and AreaPro—while also contributing to backend services and APIs that power these products.

You will work across the full stack, owning features end-to-end: mobile client implementation, API integrations, backend service development, and system reliability. Our applications serve thousands of daily users and support complex workflows, requiring thoughtful engineering across shared systems, scalable backend architecture, and polished platform-specific experiences.

Job Duties (Including, but not limited to):

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native (TypeScript, Expo, React Navigation/Expo Router).

• Understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns (hooks-based architecture, MVVM-inspired patterns, clean architecture principles).
• Experience with automated testing (Jest, Detox, XCTest, JUnit).

• Experience writing automated tests for Rails applications (RSpec or similar).
• Knowledge of background job processing (Sidekiq or similar).
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
• Familiarity with caching strategies (Redis, HTTP caching).

The Role

Podium is looking for a world-class Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the evolution of our mobile ecosystem. Our mobile apps are the primary interface for local businesses to manage their reputation and communicate with customers. As we scale our industry-leading AI Agent platform, we need a mobile leader who can architect how autonomous agents interact, think, and perform within our native iOS and Android environments.

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a deep focus on native mobile development.
• Native iOS & Android Mastery: Proven expertise in either Swift and/or Kotlin with the expectation you will be working in both. You should be comfortable leading technical decisions and reviewing code across both platforms.
• Staff-level Leadership: A track record of leading multi-quarter projects, fleshing out requirements, and driving technical strategy for a mobile organization.
• Modern Tooling Proficiency: Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to drive engineering velocity and code quality.
• Architectural Mastery: Strong experience with mobile design patterns, threading, and memory management, specifically as it relates to handling long-running asynchronous AI tasks.
