POSITION SUMMARY

The Amazon Strategy & Growth Manager will directly drive marketplace growth, business performance, and key commercial decisions in close partnership with the Amazon and Leadership team - owning critical business problems end-to-end, turning data into strategy, and strategy into measurable revenue and profit outcomes.

A high-impact, hands-on operating role for an analytical, commercially minded leader ready to transition from advising to owning real business outcomes as an operator at a fast growing consumer brand. No prior Amazon experience required—this role is designed for candidates with strong first-principles thinking and commercial judgment who can quickly take ownership of a complex business. You will have direct exposure to senior leadership and be expected to influence decisions that materially impact revenue, margin, and growth trajectory.

This role reports to the Director of Amazon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Performance, Reporting & Insights

• Own recurring Amazon reporting: weekly and monthly readouts, KPI tracking, revenue and margin bridges, and issue diagnosis.
• Synthesize complex data into clear, decision-oriented insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Identify and act on risks and opportunities across traffic, conversion, inventory, pricing, and profitability—owning both diagnosis and follow-through to resolution.

Strategic Analysis & Financial Modeling

• Build models to evaluate revenue, margin, promotions, pricing, media efficiency, inventory risk, launches, and channel performance.
• Break down ambiguous, high-stakes business problems into structured analyses and identify the highest-leverage decisions.
• Pressure-test plans and forecasts; move quickly from analysis to decision, balancing rigor with strong commercial judgment.

Growth & Channel Strategy

• Partner with the Director of Amazon to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence across a multi-million dollar channel.
• Identify and prioritize the highest-impact growth opportunities and own execution plans from idea through results.
• Drive key initiatives: new product launches, creative optimization, promotional and pricing planning, reseller mitigation, and assortment strategy.

Cross-Functional Execution

• Lead cross-functional execution across marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain to deliver business outcomes
• Own high-priority workstreams end-to-end—from analysis and alignment through execution and measurable results.
• Operate with urgency and full ownership, taking responsibility for outcomes—not just analysis or recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• 2–4+ years in a highly analytical or strategic role; bachelor’s required, MBA a plus.
• Background in management consulting (or similar), private equity, investment banking, finance, corporate strategy, high-growth startups, or analytically rigorous operating roles preferred.
• Demonstrated experience building financial models, business cases, dashboards, or strategic recommendations that drove real decisions.
• Amazon, marketplace, or DTC e-commerce experience is a plus, not required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong Excel / Google Sheets modeling: personally builds the models, doesn’t just delegate.
• Able to break down ambiguous problems, structure analyses, and identify the highest-leverage drivers.
• Fluent in revenue, margin, contribution profit, forecasting, and KPI-based business management, with strong business judgment and prioritization.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize our data platforms so teams across the company can make fast, reliable, data-driven decisions. You’ll be a key technical leader, owning end-to-end data pipelines and modeling, and setting best practices around how we work with data.

You’ll work heavily with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Python, building scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and data products. Experience in payments or financial services is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build data pipelines
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines on Databricks and Spark.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into a centralized data platform.
• Own data modeling & architecture

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (or a very similar cloud data platform) including cluster management, jobs, and notebooks.
• Advanced experience with Apache Spark for batch and/or streaming data processing.
• Expert-level SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, query optimization).
• Strong Python skills for data engineering (e.g., PySpark, data processing libraries, scripting).
• Proven experience in data modeling and designing schemas for analytics and reporting.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT best practices, and data lifecycle.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: version control (git), testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Team

The Fraud & Risk Management Operations team protects Raisin’s U.S. business across the entire customer lifecycle, from onboarding and KYC to bank account authentication, deposits, withdrawals, and ongoing account monitoring. As a high-growth, multi-bank deposit marketplace, Raisin operates in a dynamic environment where fraud threats evolve rapidly across identity, payments, and digital banking ecosystems.

Our team owns the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of the controls that safeguard the platform while enabling a seamless customer experience. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Data, Payments Operations, and Customer Service to make fraud prevention a competitive advantage.

Your Responsibilities

The Head of Fraud & Risk Management Operations is Raisin US’s most senior fraud operator, responsible for defining the fraud strategy, leading fraud operations, and building an end-to-end fraud prevention ecosystem that scales with the business and its evolving products.

You combine strategic risk management with deep operations management expertise, spending substantial time in the trenches understanding fraud patterns, coaching teams, and driving day-to-day execution. You bring extensive fraud domain expertise in financial services, preferably from respected financial technology companies. You will bring expertise in ACH/payment fraud, identity risk management, along with experience with build and implementation of modern fraud models, decision systems, and predictive solutions to address emerging threats.

You will oversee a team that includes fraud operations, analytics, investigations, and you will work with Legal and Compliance and our banking partners on KYC and financial crime risk. You will also be a thought partner to product and engineering leadership as we evolve Raisin’s fraud infrastructure and data foundations.

Fraud Strategy & Risk Leadership

• Own and evolve Raisin’s U.S. fraud strategy across onboarding, KYC, account linking, payments, and account lifecycle management.
• Build the long-term roadmap for fraud prevention, including data, tooling, modeling, automation, and operational processes.
• Translate emerging fraud trends, regulatory expectations, new products, and technology innovations into actionable business strategy and automated fraud prevention solutions.
• Build predictive fraud management solutions to identify and address new fraud patterns before they impact Raisin’s bottomline.
• Represent fraud risk in executive forums and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Fraud Operations Management

• Lead daily fraud operations, including identity verification, account authentication, ACH/payments fraud review, transaction monitoring, and investigations.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching and development to employees within Fraud and Risk Operations.
• Ensure SLAs, accuracy, and throughput targets are consistently achieved while maintaining low customer friction.
• Build efficient, scalable, resilient operational workflows using automation, decision engines, and modern fraud tools.

• Drive continued evaluation, deployment, and optimization of fraud solutions including:
• IDV/KYC
• Device and behavioral intelligence
• Account linking and bank verification tools
• ACH risk and behavioral scoring solutions

• Define requirements for fraud model development, specially predictive fraud models, feature enhancements, monitoring, and model governance.

• Oversee the development of fraud dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting.
• Monitor fraud losses, false positives, customer friction, and operational efficiency and proactively recommend changes to address issues.

• Lead deep-dive investigations into new or emerging patterns and convert findings into durable controls.

• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Partner Banks on escalations, unusual activity, and regulatory expectations.
• Integrate fraud risk perspectives into product launches, customer experience flows, and engineering initiatives.
• Support AML/KYC risk governance and customer risk scoring.

Your Profile

Experience & Expertise

• 12+ years in fraud risk management, fraud operations, fraud prevention, or financial crime within fintech, digital banking, payments, or consumer credit.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. fraud typologies: identity theft, synthetic identity, mule activity, ATO, ACH fraud, first-party abuse, and bank-linking fraud.
• Proven leadership of fraud operations teams, ideally across both manual review and complex operational workflows.
• Familiarity with fraud model development and evaluation (not required to be hands-on but must understand methodologies, monitoring, and implementation lifecycle).
• Strong experience with fraud tools, data providers, device intelligence, and modern fraud technology stacks.

Compensation Transparency  

The compensation range for this position is: $160,000 - $200,000
