Smartsheet Views are the user-facing center of the Smartsheet experience. They are the highest-usage UX area in the product, and the primary way millions of users interact with the Grid Platform, the core of Smartsheet's Intelligent Work Management platform. As Director of Engineering for Views, you will lead the teams building Timeline View, Board View, and the Shared Experiences that power UX consistency across Smartsheet's growing portfolio of views. You Have:

Compensation

The base salary for this position will vary based on several factors, such as relevant experience, location and your approved internal leveling assessed during the interview process. The base salary range for this role is $230,000 - $260,000. Salary is one component of our total compensation package. Your Role & Mission

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, security, and fraud operations. The hired candidate will play a critical role in evolving Apollo’s abuse detection and account security capabilities.

As a Senior Engineer (Fraud), you’ll work closely with Fraud Operations, Data Science, Application Security, and Product to modernize abuse detection logic. You'll prototype and deploy new risk decisioning systems and build the technical foundation for new fraud decision models over the next several quarters. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who thrives in ambiguous, data-driven problem spaces and enjoys building systems that protect our customers and business.

Daily Adventures & Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing improvement of abuse detection services and customer account security features
• With assistance of technical leadership, implement a home-grown risk decision engine
• Build and maintain APIs to support extensible, low-latency risk decisioning
