What you will be doing:

• Manage the full execution of sponsored product campaigns across digital advertising platforms like Amazon Advertising, Google Ads and other retail media channels.
• Set up and optimize campaigns through keyword research, targeting refinement, bid management and creative adjustments to meet performance objectives.
• Monitor key performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions and ROI, and implement improvements to maximize visibility and sales impact.
• Run structured A/B tests on creatives, targeting options and bidding strategies to continuously enhance campaign efficiency.
• Conduct detailed keyword research to identify high value search terms and optimize match types, bids and targeting relevance.
• Manage budgets efficiently, monitor pacing and performance against targets and adjust investment strategies when necessary.
• Prepare reports and dashboards that track KPIs, highlight trends and present clear, data driven recommendations for ongoing improvement.
• Analyze performance data to identify insights, business opportunities and risks, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor competitor activity, benchmark performance and use market intelligence to refine campaign strategy and execution.
• Work closely with cross functional teams including product marketing, e-commerce, analytics and external vendors to align advertising efforts with business goals and category priorities.
• Support product launches, promotional campaigns and commercial initiatives through strong execution of sponsored product advertising.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong experience in digital advertising with hands-on work in sponsored product campaigns on platforms such as Amazon Advertising or Google Ads.
• Solid understanding of campaign setup, optimization, tracking and reporting tools.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, extract insights and take action based on performance trends.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
• High level of organization and attention to detail, comfortable managing several campaigns at the same time.
• Good knowledge of e-commerce, online retail and emerging retail media trends.

About this job

As In-Country Operations Manager you will be accountable for shaping and implementing the strategic roadmap for our key strategic partnerships for JUMO by utilising existing local market knowledge, operational execution and building strong relationships internally and externally. You will report to the Regional Manager // East Africa, with a focus primarily on Southern African & East African operations.

You will

• Be responsible for operational targets: Support product performance objectives by contributing recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; initiating productivity improvements, quality checks; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
• Take accountability for relationship management: Sustain rapport with designated stakeholder groups by making regular visits; exploring specific needs; resolving challenges and anticipating new opportunities.
• Be actively engaged: Pro-actively seek inputs and stimulate discussions with teams responsible for Portfolio Management, Product, Marketing, Customer Insights, Data Science, Finance, Capabilities and Customer Operations to resolve potential problems and identify opportunities.
• Own project management and coordination: Take personal accountability in proactively planning and executing new and existing projects and operational activities including but not limited to operational compliance.
• Manage reporting and governance: Provide real-time, robust, reliable, insightful business information and support preparation for partner SteerCo engagements.
• Ensure a clear grasp on any regulatory changes within the ecosystem that will affect our operations in-country.

You will need

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics , Accounting or similar.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in Financial Services, Technology, Telecom, FMCGs, FINTECH.
• Spoken and written fluency in English.
• Experience in project management.
• Previous high level and sophisticated relationship management experience across various senior and other levels in an organization.
• A very good understanding and experience of financial products and performance, including credit risk, dynamics of lending, saving and some insurance.
• Experience in negotiating with major counter-party to achieve and facilitate a given strategy.
• Experience leading a team. 
• Prior experience with mobile financial services.
• Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
• To be an exceptional communicator, with effective listening skills, intelligent and articulate with strong written and verbal skills. 
• To have a confident personality with strong presentation ability.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines, multi-task, prioritize and handle a diverse workload.
• To be decisive, detail orientated, enthusiastic, problem solver.
• The ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
