Payroll Service Design, Governance & Continuous Improvement is responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing the global payroll operational framework. This role ensures payroll operations are robust, efficient, and scalable by establishing strong SLAs, KPIs, governance controls, and a disciplined culture of continuous improvement.
A key element of this responsibility is to lead and embed these standards into all payroll projects, including system implementations, vendor transitions, and global expansions. Get to Know Our Team
The Data department oversees Agoda’s data-related platform and infrastructure capabilities, enabling the company to make better decisions and operate reliably at scale. Our goal is to empower teams across Agoda through resilient, secure, and high-performing systems that support development, deployment, and operations across a complex technology landscape.
Within the department, the platform engineering team is responsible for building and operating critical infrastructure that powers Agoda’s private cloud environment. This includes large-scale Kubernetes platforms across multiple data centers, continuous delivery capabilities, service-to-service connectivity, observability, secrets management, and foundational security controls. We work closely with engineering, security, and infrastructure partners to ensure our platforms are secure, scalable, and easy to use.
As Agoda continues to evolve its platform capabilities, we are also expanding our focus to Platform Identity Access Management (PIAM) — a strategic initiative that will strengthen authentication and authorization across Kubernetes, virtual machines, bare metal servers, laptops, and mobile devices. This work will play a key role in improving platform security, compliance, and operational consistency across the organization.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will drive the architecture, implementation, and operational excellence of Agoda’s private cloud platform while leading strategic initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, security, and delivery velocity across the Data department.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced and deeply hands-on platform engineering leader who thrives on solving complex distributed systems challenges at scale. You will provide technical leadership across large multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, improve deployment and observability capabilities, strengthen secrets and key management practices, and lead Agoda’s Platform Identity Access Management (PIAM) initiative from early architecture through implementation.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant technical ownership. While you will influence engineering standards and support other engineers, the role is strongly execution-focused and requires substantial hands-on contribution in design, coding, automation, and operational problem solving.
You will work closely with developers, platform teams, security stakeholders, and engineering leaders to shape the future of Agoda’s infrastructure platform and enable teams to build and operate securely and efficiently.

The Global Service Delivery (GSD) team is responsible for Agoda's office infrastructure and staff connectivity. The Opportunity
We are looking for candidates with a passion for corporate technology and experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our team in Bangkok. This role offers excellent growth opportunities in a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support business access requirements on multiple systems.
- Resolve day-to-day issues assigned to the GSD Operations team.
- Design, implement, and manage user access controls and permissions.
- Oversee the user provisioning lifecycle in the company
- Automate identity and roles provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
- Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) models.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for requests received via ServiceDesk, ensuring all requests are completed within the agreed SLA.
- Take on long-term projects in addition to daily tasks, allowing for growth and development.
- Make quick decisions, implement standards, and best practices to improve support processes.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English.

- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Helpdesk, IT Operations support, or as an IAM Analyst.

- Good knowledge of Active Directory management tools, Exchange, and SharePoint.

The Opportunity
You will own and shape accounting across multiple countries in a fast-moving, global OTA — not just running the books but rethinking how accounting creates strategic value. Partner closely with business leaders, tax authorities, auditors, external advisors, and Agoda’s group brands to deliver timely reporting and enable new product and market launches across multiple legal entities.
This role blends accounting leadership, projects, and internal consulting. You’ll lead cross-functional projects to improve balance-sheet reconciliations, streamline one‑off adjustments, and design scalable end‑to‑end processes that reduce cycle times and strengthen controls. You’ll also help craft a long‑term vision for the teams you influence and mentor colleagues to raise technical and process capabilities.

Finance Operations Payout Support is part of the Finance Operations & Controlling function within the Finance Payout department. Our team builds and maintains strong relationships with vendors and property partners by delivering excellent service across vendor onboarding and payment issue resolution.
As an Operations Payout Support Specialist, you will primarily manage vendor onboarding for non-trade vendors by collecting required documents, validating and maintaining vendor master data, coordinating system enablement, and following up until vendors are fully operational. You will also support property partner payments (trade) by investigating and resolving payment issues across Agoda’s payment methods (Telex Transfer, Virtual Credit Card, Physical Credit Card, and PayPal) and assist with day-to-day payment activities, escalations, ad-hoc investigations, and possibly some related to month-end closing tasks. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, as well as external partners, to drive timely vendor enablement and issue resolution. Your role includes ensuring master data accuracy and compliance with internal controls, contributing to process improvements by identifying recurring issues and proposing scalable fixes, and providing operational insights that support Agoda’s growth and reliable payout operations. In this Role, you'll get to:
Lead end-to-end non-trade vendor onboarding: collect and validate required documents, set up and maintain vendor master data, coordinate system enablement, and follow up until vendors are fully operational.
Manage backend vendor enablement processes and support internal stakeholders to remove blockers for vendor activation.
Perform day-to-day payment operations and Accounts Payable Support related tasks as needed, including backend process work and reconciliation, payment configurations/settings, and month-end related tasks when required and other payment exceptions, ensuring transactions are accurate, executed, and recorded on time.
Investigate and resolve payment-related queries from property partners and internal teams, delivering timely and satisfactory outcomes.
Manage complex payment inquiries and backend processes, providing documented alternative resolutions for issues outside standard workflows while ensuring compliance with controls and appropriately weighing operational risk.
Execute scheduled and ad-hoc finance tasks with high accuracy, strong control, and timely ownership.
Stay up to date with changes in internal systems, payment logic, and finance platform updates.
Actively monitor processes, identify improvement opportunities, and use data to measure impact and drive efficiency.

What you'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
3–5 years’ working experience in any field. Experience in finance is a plus (especially on Procurement, Vendor Onboarding, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payment Operations, Risk and Control). Experience with supervisory or management-level responsibilities is an additional plus.
Demonstrated experience in document verification, master data management, or data governance.
High attention to detail and accuracy in transactional work and master data maintenance; strict adherence to audit rules and internal controls.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify patterns and produce actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and effective stakeholder management across functions.
Ownership mindset with the ability to prioritise under tight deadlines and a methodical approach to work.

The BI‑Infra organization owns Agoda’s core data warehouse architecture and operates the platforms that power analytics and BI across the company (e.g., SQL Server DW, SSAS, Vertica, StarRocks, Hadoop, Superset, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI Report Server). Our mission is to maximize system uptime and provide the best possible data and visualization experience to Agoda users.
The BI‑Infra DBA sub‑team focuses on database and BI platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency — designing and operating scalable OLAP engines, tuning workloads, defining SLIs/SLOs, and partnering with BI and product teams to keep critical analytics systems healthy at scale.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior/Staff Data Platform Engineer (BI Infra DBA) to lead the technical direction and operations of our analytics database and BI platforms (StarRocks as the primary analytics engine, Vertica, SQL Server DW, visualization backends, and related services). You will:
Own critical database and BI infrastructure end‑to‑end — architecture, performance, reliability, and security.
Lead multi‑team initiatives such as expanding StarRocks adoption and leading sql server datawarehouse migration, and major upgrades of visualization/BI tools.
Set engineering and operational standards for how we design, deploy, and monitor our BI data platforms, acting as the technical point of contact for BI‑Infra DBA
What You’ll Do:
Design and evolve Agoda’s BI data warehouse architecture across SQL Server DW, Vertica, StarRocks, and related services, focusing on availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Lead migration and modernization projects such as:
Migrating workloads off MSSQL DW to more sustainable platforms (Production standby, data lake, StarRocks, etc.).
Decommissioning legacy components as part of the long‑term DW strategy.
Define and implement data and query engine standards (indexing/partitioning patterns, materialized views, retention strategies, governance and access patterns) for BI platforms.
Define SLIs/SLOs for key services (StarRocks, Vertica, Tableau, Superset/Metabase, MSSQL DW) and ensure they are instrumented, monitored, and reviewed regularly.
Lead incident response for BI‑Infra DBA‑owned platforms: diagnose cross‑system issues (Query Engine - Database, VIz tools, Compute, Storage, Network), post‑mortem/root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up improvements.
Partner with BI‑Infra Ops/Dev/Viz and DBDev/DBOps on end‑to‑end reliability — from ingestion pipelines to visualization queries and user traffic patterns.
Perform deep query and workload tuning for high‑impact systems (e.g., finance, supply, whitelabel analytics, experimentation, DQ), reducing CPU/memory/IO and improving latency at scale.
Optimize resource consumption and license/capacity planning for Query Engine – Database and BI tools.
Collaborate with infra and product teams to evaluate and adopt new query engines / database technologies where they materially improve reliability, performance, or cost.
Own upgrade and patching strategies for database and BI stacks (OS, engine, drivers), using canary/blue‑green and rollback plans to minimize downtime.
Improve and extend CI/CD and deployment automation for database objects, jobs, and configuration (GitLab, AWX/Ansible, ArgoCD, etc.).
Build and maintain observability for BI-Infra DBA services (Grafana, Prometheus/SLO dashboards, alerting, Hedwig/NOC integrations) to detect and act on issues proactively.
Implement and maintain secure access patterns for DW and BI platforms (service accounts, RBAC, gMSA, password rotation, SSO/OKTA integration, DR strategy).
Partner with security and data governance teams to remediate vulnerabilities within SLAs, enforce data residency constraints, and ensure that upcoming workloads (e.g., whitelabels) are compliant by design.
Act as technical lead for BI‑Infra DBA initiatives, collaborating closely with BI‑Infra Ops/Dev/Viz, Database Operation/Development, Infra, and BI product teams.
Mentor and coach junior engineers on database performance, reliability, and platform engineering best practices; help raise the bar for design reviews, runbooks, and incident hygiene.
Contribute to knowledge sharing - Documents [Confluence, Agoda Internal Document Framework], internal talks, runbooks and help shape the technical roadmap for BI‑Infra DBA.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in data engineering / database engineering / DBA / platform engineering, with at least several years owning production OLAP/BI databases at scale.
Strong expertise with StarRocks (or similar modern MPP / columnar systems such as Vertica, ClickHouse, Presto/Trino, Druid, Doris, Impala) and solid SQL Server experience, including:
Query execution internals and tuning (plans, statistics, partitioning, indexing, materialized views).
Capacity planning, storage layout, and backup/restore.
Proven experience operating mission‑critical database or BI services in production:
On‑call incident response, debugging across layers, and post‑mortem/root‑cause analysis.
Designing and maintaining SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and alerting for latency/availability/error budgets.
Solid understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts (core DW tables like Fact-Dimension, MSSQL Replication/CDC, Staging patterns, data freshness & consistency, DQ processes).

This is not a customer‑facing Product role. This position sits within Agoda’s Tax team under the broader Finance organization, focusing on internal finance and tax platforms that enable compliance, automation, and scalable operations.
As a Finance Systems Product Manager / Senior Specialist (Tax Technology), you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of Agoda’s tax technology stack, with a strong focus on indirect tax engines and compliance enablement.
Based in Bangkok with Agoda Services Co. Ltd, this role reports to the Tax Data & Technology Associate Director and is part of a Tax organization that is rapidly expanding to support the evolving global tax landscape for digital services. While the role applies product‑management principles (such as requirements definition, solution design, and lifecycle ownership), it is not part of Agoda’s core Product organization. Instead, you will act as a hands‑on tax systems and solutions partner, working closely with Finance, Accounting, Product, Engineering, Legal, and senior stakeholders, as well as sister brands and our US parent company.
This is a systems‑first, highly practical role at the intersection of tax, data, and technology. You will translate complex tax requirements into scalable system logic, contributing directly to Agoda’s compliance, automation, and risk‑mitigation agenda in a fast‑growing, platform‑driven environment.

The Opportunity:
Based in our Bangkok office, this accounting role will work across Agoda’s core operational entities, which mainly focus on accommodation and flight reservations. This role offers the opportunity to explore the accounting and finance of an online travel agency (OTA) with all the functions that drive OTA products. You will also have the chance to coordinate with other brands within Booking Holdings and gain exposure to international accounting and finance.

Maintain accounting records including journal entries
Maintain and control over fixed assets register
Issue and control over invoices, tax invoices, receipts
Coordinate with intercompany related to month-end closing and confirmation
Correspond with external auditors for statutory financial report
Identifying and communicating issues to the Manager
Assist accounting manager on ad-hoc assignment
Reporting
Prepare financial closing, reporting packages, accounts reconciliation and analysis on the responsible areas
Prepare detail reports to support manager on the Quarterly Balance Sheet review with CFO
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
3-5 years’ experience in accounting field
Graduated Bachelor in Accountancy
Accounting standard knowledge (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, and Local Accounting Standard)
Preparation of Statutory reports
Proficient ERP Software (Oracle is preferable)

Do you want to help create a smooth, professional employee experience in a fast-moving, international setup? As our People Operations Partner in Bangkok, you’ll own key employee lifecycle operations in the region and help land consistent global People processes locally. You’ll be the on-site go-to for operational People topics, with support and sparring from the wider People Experience team.
In this role, you’ll be at the center of the employee lifecycle in Bangkok, ensuring People processes are smooth, accurate and on time and that local requirements are handled correctly. You’ll partner closely with our Regional Operations Director – APAC and collaborate with the local VML Thailand team to get contracts, changes and employee processes executed. Your key tasks include:

You will be part of our People Experience team of around 20 colleagues. While our headquarters are in Copenhagen, Denmark, the People team is distributed globally across regions, supporting a highly international organization with colleagues from many different backgrounds. As the business continues to develop, our ways of working and People processes evolve alongside it, so you can expect variety, a fast pace and plenty of opportunities to learn and improve how things are done.
In Bangkok, you’ll work closely with our Regional Operations Director – APAC and collaborate day-to-day with the local VML Thailand team. Even though you’ll be the only People Operations person on-site, you’ll have strong support and sparring from the People Experience teams in EMEA and the Americas. As part of a global team, you should expect some flexibility in working hours occasionally to join alignment meetings across time zones.
