Role Summary

The QA / Test Automation is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions through robust testing strategies and automation practices. Acting as a key contributor within the delivery lifecycle, this role focuses on designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks, leading testing activities, and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

Working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), the QA Lead operates effectively within Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional team members within and across business units to leverage internal product knowledge and expertise for optimum efficiency.
• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
• Design and create test cases and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
• Work closely with developers to design test criteria and develop automated tests.
• Lead and develop the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using Robot framework, Python, Shell script
• Perform both Manual and Automation testing, performance testing, End to End testing.
• Participate in the architecture and design of a feature early in the development cycle, influencing it to drive quality and adherence to specifications.
• Create documentation for QA process
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.
• Owns continuous improvement for existing and new processes.
• All other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience in test automation framework development using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Robot Framework, or similar (Python, Java, or C#)
• Strong experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience designing and implementing scalable automated testing solutions

Other Desired Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in development and/or testing role or 5+ years for senior QA position
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical background and an understanding of software testing.
• Good development/scripting skills in common languages like Python, JAVA, Shell script, etc.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools, like Selenium, Robot Framework, Appium, Cypress, JMeter etc.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of Performance testing is an added advantage.
• Experience with some common QA testing tools and best practice
• Strong desire to be part of a team and build great products

We are looking for a QA Engineer Lead to define and drive quality engineering practices across our payments platform.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can design test architecture while actively contributing to automation and delivery.

You will play a key role in improving system reliability, scaling automation coverage, and embedding quality into the development lifecycle. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure that systems are delivered with strong test coverage, stability, and performance in a high-transaction environment.

*This is a fully remote role, working under US Time zone.

In this role, you will get to:

• Define and lead test strategy and automation approach
• Build and scale test automation frameworks
• Ensure strong test coverage (functional, integration, regression)
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
• Partner with engineers to embed quality early in development
• Lead API and backend testing across services
• Track quality metrics (coverage, defects, release readiness)
• Support debugging and root cause analysis in production issues
• Mentor QA / engineers and drive best practices

You’ll be successful if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in QA, test automation, or backend testing with a Java-based testing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience building and scaling automation frameworks
• Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar and strong coding skills at least one languages (Java, JavaScript or Python)
• Strong experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, including test design and risk-based testing
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience working in high-availability, production-critical environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex system issues
• Ability to operate independently with high ownership and accountability with clear communication skills, able to influence engineering and product stakeholders
• Strong English communication skills both in written and spoken to communicate with the US team smoothly.
• Willing to work remotely in the US time zones.

It’s Nice If You Have:

• Experience in fintech, payments, or high-transaction systems
• Experience with performance and load testing (JMeter, k6, or similar)
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with observability tools and test reporting dashboards
• Exposure to security testing practices
