A data scientist will have skills sets of both data analysts and data engineers. Data scientists are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a data pipeline. In addition, data scientists shall interpret and analyze complex sets of data, as well as plan, execute, and manage ML projects with cloud-native platforms and advanced ML solutions. They understand some of the most challenging processes, technologies, and can leverage a vast array of methodologies in the field, such as data mining, natural language programming, and machine learning.
Data scientists must have a combination of skills that includes programming, mathematical modeling, statistics, and domain knowledge. They must combine an advanced math and statistics background with programming, domain knowledge, and communication skills to analyze data, create applied mathematical models, and present results in a form useful to the organization. They must also be able to understand and manipulate structured and unstructured large data sets, which requires proficiency in distributed SQL programming, relational and non-relational data queries, general programming languages (such as Python and R,) and machine learning techniques.
The Data Scientist shall perform the following tasks:
• Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method.
• Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data
• Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges.
• Coordinate with Data Engineers to build Data environments providing data identified by other data professionals
• Apply and develop scientific methodology, statistics, and algorithms to discover and frame relevant problems, hypotheses, and opportunities.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive modeling, natural language processing (NLP), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), text mining and processing, clustering, forecasting methods, and other advanced statistical techniques.
• Design and automate processes to facilitate the manipulation and analysis of data. Manage and integrate data across dissimilar data sets. Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Use frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop to conduct large-scale data processing. Perform statistical modeling and create data visualizations using products like Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and R Shiny.
• Research, design, and implement algorithms to solve complex problems. Program using R, Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) or similar analytical languages.
• Perform data engineering, data processing and modeling techniques using cloud-based data management, data science, and ML platforms such as Databricks, IBM Cloud Pak, Cloudera, and Snowflake.
• Communicate complex concepts and hypothesis to a non-technical audience through digital storytelling.
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on Data Science experience is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field is required.
- Proficient with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.)
- Proficient in Agile Development and Git operations
- A Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements
- Familiarity with DoD

Summary
As a Product Design Director at Shift4, you will be the cornerstone of design innovation and collaboration, reporting directly to the VP, Product Design. You will lead the Shift4 Dine design strategy through complexity and ambiguity, crafting AI‑native user experiences that exemplify impact, consistency, simplicity, and elegance across platforms and systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design of intuitive, high‑impact user experiences across the Shift4 product portfolio, with primary ownership of Shift4 Dine and key initiatives on Web and Android.
- Define and evolve an AI‑native experience strategy for Shift4 Dine: identify where AI (copilots, recommendations, automation, generative flows) meaningfully improves merchant and staff workflows—and where it should not.
- Leverage AI‑powered design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma AI features, Claude‑style assistants, code‑aware tools) to explore concepts, generate variants, and rapidly move from idea to interactive prototype.
- Act as a hands‑on design leader on complex, cross‑platform projects while mentoring and directing other designers to elevate craft, quality, and consistency.
- Translate user insights, data, and product strategy into clear design hypotheses and solutions that drive merchant adoption, satisfaction, and measurable business outcomes.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to align on product strategy, scope, technical constraints, and delivery timelines; ensure design decisions are grounded in what is feasible in today’s AI‑enabled stack.
- Establish and champion AI UX patterns for the portfolio (assistants, inline suggestions, explainability, error and fallback states, human‑in‑the‑loop correction) and ensure they are implemented consistently across products.
- Contribute to, govern, and evolve scalable design systems, patterns, and best practices across platforms—ensuring components, tokens, and documentation are “AI‑ready” for design‑to‑code workflows.
- Use AI tools to streamline design workflows (research synthesis, content and UX copy, documentation, design QA) while maintaining a critical eye for quality, bias, and brand alignment.
- Navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing AI capabilities; balance long‑term strategic investments with near‑term iterative delivery to ensure outcomes meet both user and business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Design or equivalent experience.
- 9+ years in UI/UX or product design with a portfolio showing end‑to‑end product work and strong visual/interaction design across Web and Android.
- Expert proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto‑layout, tokens, Dev Mode) and experience working with design systems at scale.
- Working knowledge of front‑end fundamentals (HTML/CSS, component/state thinking; React or similar) to read and lightly edit UI code and review AI‑generated output.
- Understanding of how Figma components map to React/Vue components and how design tokens map to CSS/Tailwind, including implications for design‑to‑code and AI tooling.
- Experience using AI tools in the design workflow (e.g., generating UX copy, exploring layout alternatives, creating documentation, or quality‑controlling AI‑generated assets).
- Proven experience contributing to and evolving design systems, patterns, and frameworks—and implementing them directly in design and prototyping tools.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor designers, influence cross‑functional partners, and navigate ambiguity while balancing long‑term strategy with pragmatic execution.

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
- Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
- Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
- Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception → design → implementation → testing → release → maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems — and propose robust architectural or design solutions.
Required:
- 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
- Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
- Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.

Your Role as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer:
Our Cloud Operations team seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our SaaS applications. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver and an automater. In this Senior SRE role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust systems and processes to prevent outages, minimize downtime, optimize our infrastructure, and build scalable automation that allows us to be more efficient as the business grows. You will work closely with our development, quality assurance, product, and IT teams to meet the goals of this role. On-Call coverage will be required weekly.
A Day in the Life of a Senior Site Reliability Engineer:
For this role, you will play a key role in maintaining our cloud platform, which includes an assortment of Kubernetes, Microservices, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Windows Server VM Infrastructure, Orchestration Engines, CI/CD and Monitoring platforms.
- Executing projects that rollout new platform maintenance features, automate tasks, or other big picture changes to improve our customers’ experience on our Cloud Platform.
- Deploying new features and releases of our software into Kubernetes via Helm, so strong experience in Kubernetes and Helm is a must.
- Troubleshooting performance issues or errors thrown by the cloud platform or application, and either resolving the underlying cause, or forwarding your research to Engineering to address in the product.
- Mentoring others towards technical and procedural success and providing daily operational support to our DevOps team members
- Actioning Request Tickets from other teams in support of their needs to enable and prepare for upcoming releases.
- Monitoring and maintaining our Platform’s, uptime, resiliency and performance, looking for improvement opportunities, and proactively taking action to solve any negative trends before they become issues.
- Lead, Participate, or Execute within the incident management process when alerts fire, and quickly ascertain root cause, resolve the issue, and find new and creative solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Configure, Monitor, Research, and Evaluate workload performances both on Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure Clouds.
- Security and Compliance: Work closely with security teams to ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborating with our Development and Quality Assurance teams to address issues in the product and platform, particularly around recurring problems.
- Documenting new or updating existing processes and procedures to share knowledge and improve on standardized approaches to solution.
What You’ll Need:

- Experience with administering message brokering systems like RabbitMQ preferred.
- Must be flexible on occasionally attending “off-hour” meetings (we’re a global team supporting a global customer base!).
- No travel required for this role.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Build pipeline tools and the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Octopus).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms, especially StackDriver.
- Experience with HashiCorp Terraform.
- Experience with IIS
