About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Design Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for industrial design, architecture, and design leadership.
In the day-to-day, you will be responsible for guiding the architecture of multiple products after leading a thorough industrial design study, encompassing the environment, installation, usability, and aesthetics considerations. We have a tremendous amount of telemetry and access to customers that help guide our design process. You will crawl around equipment and industrial facilities working directly with our customers to ensure we lead the industry in our product design.
We run a collaborative process working closely with Product Management, EE, FW, EPM, and Hardware leadership to make excellent tradeoffs and decisions. Throughout this process, you’ll mentor other engineers.
The US and Taiwan PD teams are supported by the Supply Chain team, laboratories, JDM design resources, and a growing supply base.
This role is based in our Taipei office, and it is a hybrid position required to office as needed. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time and proximity to an international airport. Relocation will not be provided

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a detail-focused engineer to take the lead in ensuring technical documentation is clear, consistent, and accurate. This includes both creating and managing engineering documents. This role collaborates closely with the Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Program Management and Quality Engineering teams to ensure appropriate product definition and design controls through 2D drawings and 3D CAD support for all phases of the product development lifecycle.

Establish best practices for 3D and 2D CAD creation
Create and manage Bills of Material (BOMs) in Windchill PLM

Stay current with the latest SolidWorks features and updates

YOU BRING TO PELOTON
4+ years mechanical design experience and/or 6+ years of drafting experience

Peloton mechanical engineers architect and develop Peloton products. This individual will work collaboratively within a multi-functional team to concept, design, and manufacture the future of fitness. You will team with Program Management, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Industrial Design to translate customer needs into fully vetted products.
Senior mechanical engineers will join our design - built - test engineering culture to help oversee a mechanical project team or complex electro-mechanical modules within a product. 6+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer
Sound engineering fundamentals in statics, dynamics, stress analysis and material science.
Experience executing finite element analysis in the development process
Proficient in one 3D MCAD Package. Solidworks preferred.
Ability to assemble effective reports and presentations to communicate
Familiarity with PLM and an ECN process
Prototype experience, selecting and sourcing appropriate prototyping methods to build engineering prototypes
Experience writing test plans or developing engineering confidence tests
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and cross functional partners
Experience with core manufacturing methods including sheet metal, injection molding, machining and casting
Experience with metrology / measurement tools

These smart, connected devices have the potential to transform every industry. Classic Ubuntu – desktop or server – is widely used in embedded systems because of its developer focus and enterprise grade security maintenance.
