Data Centre Technician

We are seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to join our team in Falun.
Location: This is a 100% on-site position at our Data Center in Falun. A relocation allowance is available for national and international candidates.
The Data Center Technician must work well with others and will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and will include participation in an on-call rotation.
- Maintain data center operations to ensure the availability and reliability of service levels
- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
- Root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
- Training of internal teams
- Development of documentation
- Provide technical support to data center teams
- Development of scripts to update server and networking hardware
- Maintain inventory
- Assemble and install equipment
- Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment
- Occasional travel to other data centers as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of data centre experience
- Experience with Data Center buildout, assembling and installing equipment
- Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
- Linux operating system experience
- Ability to work in an environment that operates a shift pattern, with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
- Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills
- Must be able to prioritise tasks and react quickly to issues
- Candidates should be able to lift up to 22kg and/or work in elevated locations
- Applicants must have work authorisation that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
Nice Haves:
- Computer Networking experience
- Python, Bash or other scripting languages experience
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- A degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field

As a Mechanical Technician at our rocket engine test site in Kiruna, you will play a vital role in supporting engine development and flight test operations. You will help operate, maintain, and upgrade state-of-the-art test facilities, engines, and related components. Your work will directly contribute to the safe and efficient testing of rocket engines and support our broader space mission.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Perform assembly, maintenance, calibration, and repair of mechanical systems—including test rigs, rocket engines, high-pressure gas systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Support test operations by preparing mechanical systems—including test rigs, rocket engines, high-pressure gas systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Support commissioning, pressure testing, and engine hotfire activities by preparing equipment, following operational procedures, and documenting results.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with engines and test facility systems, collaborating with your team and other functions (e.g., engineering, logistics) to resolve problems efficiently.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of test equipment, ensuring correct setup for various test scenarios.
- Follow established operational and safety procedures to ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, test activities, and incidents, as per company policy.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and training to maintain high standards of competence.

Qualification Checklist

- Hands-on experience with high-pressure gas systems: assembly, commissioning, leak checking, and operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, measurement instruments, and test equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance and troubleshooting of complex mechanical and fluid systems.
- Basic proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and procedures.
- Safety-conscious mindset and knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance standards.

Mission Brief
As the Lead Technician at our rocket engine test site in Kiruna you will lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians in operating, maintaining, and upgrading our test facilities. Together with your team you will configure, troubleshoot, and repair engines and components for both development testing and flight. You will be responsible for planning your team’s activities in close coordination with other functions, including logistics and engineering.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Have direct personnel responsibility for a team of electricians and technicians and oversee their day-to-day activities
- Ensure activities performed by the team are safe and in accordance with applicable regulations
- Ensure team members have the requisite training and competence to perform their work
- Have the necessary maintenance and calibration performed on facilities, test rig, tooling, and equipment utilized by the team
- Lead and contribute to the creation and updating of operational procedures for activities such as commissioning, pressure testing, and engine hotfire
- Take part in short- and long-term personnel and financial planning for all aspects of operation of the site, including test operations, engine and component handling, and maintenance
- Lead and support troubleshooting of both test facility and engine issues
- Maintain records of activities performed by the team in accordance with applicable regulations and company policy
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying and implementing ideas and improvements
- When necessary directly support the team by taking part in tasks and test operations as needed

The Electrical Technician is part of a team responsible for operating, maintaining and upgrading Isar Aerospace’s engine test facility located at Esrange in the Swedish Arctic. - Support testing operations as required, including performing manual operations on pressurized and cryogenic systems
Qualification Checklist
- Degree and proven experience as an electrician, electrical technician or similar, preferably in a high-tech or industrial setting

Mission Brief
The Controls & Automation Technician is part of a team responsible for operating, maintaining and upgrading Isar Aerospace’s engine test facility located at Esrange in the Swedish Arctic. - Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
