About the role
As a Software Engineer - Embedded Systems, you will design, develop and port autonomous software modules across different system-on-chip platforms. You will be an early member of the fast-growing autonomy team in Stuttgart with broad ownership and direct impact on program direction.
You will bring up new embedded hardware and software alongside engineers from machine learning, vehicle applications and Vehicle OS. We move fast and focus on excellence. If you are hands-on and want a multiplying effect on making autonomous vehicles a reality, Applied is the place for you.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Develop and debug our autonomous stack on embedded compute platforms
- Work closely with machine learning engineers to optimize perception models for embedded performance
- Interface with automotive middleware and communication protocols (IPC, Ethernet, DDS)
- Support vehicle operations, SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) setups
- Leverage AI-accelerated development tools and workflows
We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ on POSIX and RTOS environments
- Direct experience with automotive SoCs (NVIDIA Orin, Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride or similar)
- Strong low-level understanding of hardware accelerators including encoders, DSPs and GPUs
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, specifically QNX and Linux
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, hardware debuggers and flashing interfaces
Nice to have:
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics or related fields
- Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving systems
- Machine learning experience, ideally in perception
- Full product cycle experience from first prototype to series production
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASIL or MISRA C++

About the role
Applied Intuition’s Tools for Vehicle Intelligence (including the Applied Development Platform, also known as ADP) is the end-to-end platform for building and validating intelligent systems at petabyte scale. As a Solution Engineer on the Tooling pillar, you will work with ADAS and AD engineering teams at OEMs and Tier 1s to architect and build solutions with Applied’s simulation, data management, and CI/CD validation toolchain.
The platform closes the loop between real-world data collection, scenario extraction, simulation, model training, and evaluation; giving automotive engineering teams the infrastructure to compound performance improvements over time.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers evaluating Applied Intuition’s simulation and data management tooling
- Lead demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and integration workshops for the full toolchain
- Support customers in integrating Applied’s platform into their ADAS/AD CI/CD pipelines (SIL, HIL, VIL stages)
- Guide customers through the design of closed-loop data flywheels: data collection strategy, curation, labeling, scenario extraction, simulation replay, and evaluation
- Help customers configure scenario-based testing and automated pass/fail metrics for their validation programs
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product insights for the Applied engineering team
- Manage technical workstreams and milestones across multi-stakeholder customer programs
We're looking for someone who has:
- 3+ years of experience in ADAS/AD development, validation, or simulation at an OEM, Tier 1, or technology company
- Hands-on experience with software testing methodologies (unit, SIL, HIL, VIL) for automotive applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in an automotive or embedded software context
- Understanding of sensor types used in ADAS (camera, lidar, radar, ultrasonic) and their data characteristics
- Experience with data management pipelines: ingestion, curation, labeling, or scenario extraction
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field
- Intermediate Programming experience in Python and/or C++
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German and/or additional European language is a significant plus
Nice to have:
- Customer-facing experience and strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with a simulation platform (Applied Intuition, CARLA, IPG CarMaker, dSPACE SIMPHERA, VIRES VTD, or similar)

We are looking for a bright engineer to help our customers solve complex technical problems across Applied Intuition’s Vehicle OS portfolio. In this role you will work closely with vehicle software and tooling teams at OEMs and Tier 1s to ensure Applied’s solutions deliver maximum impact in advancing customers’ Software-Defined-Vehicle (SDV) strategies and in-cabin user experiences.
Vehicle OS is Applied Intuition’s software platform for SDV. It enables OEMs to modernize their E/E architecture through three interconnected areas:
- Middleware & architecture Service-oriented, middleware-driven software stacks built on AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform, SOME/IP, and DDS. Helps OEMs migrate from distributed ECU architectures to zonal, centralized compute.
- Developer toolchain A code-first toolchain that replaces GUI-bound configuration workflows. Engineers model vehicle behavior in Python, manage changes through pull requests, and validate in virtual ECU environments analogous to what cloud virtual engineering workbenches (e.g., AWS VEW) brought to cloud-native development, but purpose-built for automotive E/E systems.
- IVI & in-vehicle infotainment Android Automotive OS (AAOS) based platform, HMI/cluster software, and intelligent in-cabin experiences including Cabin Intelligence (DMS, OMS, voice, occupant interaction).
This role sits at the intersection of all three areas, and the balance will depend on the customer mix.

About the role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with automotive background in ADAS and/or autonomous driving. This engineer will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of the project and will be driving the entire system engineering workflow. This engineer will work tightly embedded within a team of exceptional system and software engineers.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Drive the entire system engineering workflow: defining and managing system requirements, generating safety concepts and implementing a V&V strategy, with focus on Active Safety Functions or Parking
- Assure structured & fast progress towards an automotive series-release, by measuring and tracking KPIs over a vast set of digital tests and a very large real world data set.
- This will supercharged by using Applied Intuition’s simulation and data tools , allowing you to keep an eye on condensed high-level KPI, while intuitively digging into the details of every single test, all guided from one unified web frontend
- Unfold existing standards and regulations into the whole development process, deriving functional requirements, defining & setting test cases from regulations and voluntary assessments like NCAP

We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience bringing safety critical ADAS functions all the way into series-release
- 4+ years of experience in a system engineering role responsible for owning system requirements, testing systems for verification & validation and designing safety critical systems in the automotive industry
- Experience with world-wide regulation and standards relevant for driver assistance
- Knowledge and deep understanding of architectural design of ADAS/AD systems , incl good understanding of more recent & novel end-to-end architectures
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical concepts and tools
- Strong collaboration skills working with other teams, customers, and companies to ensure high quality deliverables
Nice to have:
- Series project experience with Active Safety functions like AEB, LKA, etc
- Previous experience working in a high-paced environment
- Experience working hands-on on prototype vehicles
- Experience working with simulation tools

Deine Rolle
Du bringst GenAI-Bildgenerierung und -Bildbearbeitung (v. a. ComfyUI) so in unsere CGI-/Compositing-Pipeline, dass aus Ideen schnell realistische, konsistente und markentaugliche Visuals werden.
Das erwartet Dich
1.) Look Development & Concept Exploration
- Du entwickelst Bildwelten, Motive und Variationen für Kampagnen
- Du arbeitest mit ComfyUI in bestehenden Graphen, pflegst sie und erweiterst sie für konkrete Use Cases (z. B. Environment/Background, Produktintegration, Serien-Varianten).
- Du baust Prompt-Frameworks / Prompt-Baupläne, um Konsistenz und Qualität über Serien zu halten.
2.) CGI Enhancement & “AI als Finish”
- Du nutzt GenAI als Finish-Layer nach dem 3D: Enhancement, Compositing-Unterstützung, Details, Realismus, Konsistenz.
- Du arbeitest eng mit 3D/CGI/Compositing zusammen (u. a. C4D, Maya, Unreal, Nuke, After Effects, Photoshop, Substance).
- Du hilfst, typische Produktionsherausforderungen zu lösen (z. B. Produktgenauigkeit, Proportionen, Detailgrad).
3.) Workflow-Qualität & Skalierung
- Du setzt auf Batch/Automation in ComfyUI (Queues, Varianten, reproduzierbare Runs).
- Du evaluierst Modelle/Ansätze (Qualität/Speed) und setzt sie passend zum Use Case ein
- Du dokumentierst ComfyUI-Templates/Workflows und erstellst Best-Practice Guides, damit Teams sauber weiterarbeiten können.
- Für kleine Automationen nutzt du gelegentlich Skripte/Helpers (Python/JS). Für größere Infrastruktur-/Engineering-Themen gibt es bei uns separate Engineering-Unterstützung.
Das bringst Du mit
- Hands-on Erfahrung mit GenAI im Imaging-Kontext, inklusive Bildgenerierung sowie gezielter Bearbeitung und Qualitätsverbesserung
- Sichere Praxis mit ComfyUI, insbesondere node-basierte Workflows, saubere Graphen und Troubleshooting
- Ausgeprägtes Verständnis von Bildgestaltung und Visual Quality, z. B. Komposition, Licht, Materialität und Stil
- Erfahrung oder fundiertes Verständnis von CGI- und Compositing-Pipelines, inklusive Übergaben, Render-Logik und dem Weg vom Setup zum finalen Bild
- Portfolio oder Arbeitsproben, die Realismus, Konsistenz und visuelle Qualität unter produktionsnahen Constraints belegen (über reine Prompt-Experimente hinaus)
- Fließende Deutsch- und/oder Englischkenntnisse (mindestens B2-C1) sind Voraussetzung.
Was zusätzlich begeistert (Bonus, aber kein Muss)
- Git-Grundlagen (Versioning von Workflows/Configs)
- Kleine Skripting-Skills (Python/JS) für Helpers
- Erfahrung mit API-basierten Tools (Cloud) und/oder lokalen Setups (Compliance)
- Automotive/Fashion/Consumer Goods Erfahrung (z. B. Produktinszenierung, Brand-Look, Konsistenz)
- 3D Dataprep Know-how (CAD cleanup, UV/Material-Prep, Lighting Presets, AOVs/Depth)
Wie wir arbeiten
- Du arbeitest mit einem interdisziplinären Team (Creative Direction, CGI/3D, Motion/Comp, Engineering).
- Typischer Review: 2 Feedbackschleifen (intern/Lead + Freigabe).
- Qualität ist uns wichtig: kampagnenfähig / photoreal / pixel-perfect, aber wir unterscheiden klar zwischen Exploration und Final.
- Primär remote innerhalb Deutschlands, mit ca. 2 Tagen/Monat vor Ort in Stuttgart.
- Alltagssprache im Team ist überwiegend Deutsch – du musst nicht perfekt sein, aber kommunikationsfähig (Englisch geht selbstverständlich).
