About This Role:
The Communications Specialist serves as Enterprise Digital’s strategic communications owner—responsible for developing communication strategies, crafting key messages, and delivering high-impact communication materials with minimal oversight. This role leads communication planning across ED, partners directly with senior leaders, and ensures alignment with Enterprise Digital strategy pillars, priorities, and culture.
The Communications Specialist proactively identifies narrative opportunities, elevates storytelling across the department, and ensures consistency of voice, message discipline, and communication quality across all ED channels. This role is a critical partner in shaping how Enterprise Digital informs, inspires, and engages the broader organization.
What You'll Do:
- Own the Enterprise Digital communications strategy across all channels.
- Lead quarterly and annual communications planning cycles, ensuring alignment with ED priorities (End-to-End Processes, AI, Innovation, Digital Readiness).
- Recommend improvements to communications approach, channel usage, and message cadence.
- Present communication strategies and recommendations to leadership.
- Independently develop key messages, communication plans, and storytelling frameworks for major ED initiatives.
- Serve as primary writer for complex or high-visibility communications (e.g., leadership updates, strategic initiatives, innovation stories, digital transformation narratives).
- Translate technical content (AI/ML, portfolio, data, change management) into accessible, compelling storytelling.
- Produce high-quality communication materials including:
- Newsletters, NSN stories, enterprise updates
- Strategic department meeting content
- Executive talking points
- Project go-live announcements and narratives
- Digital transformation-related success stories
- Site/intranet content
- Maintain editorial standards and ensure message consistency across platforms.
- Partner directly with Change Management and key stakeholder across Enterprise Digital to shape communication goals.
- Provide counsel on messaging strategy, narrative framing, and change readiness communications.
- Serve as a trusted communications advisor within Enterprise Digital.
- Collaborate across Enterprise Digital teams to ensure integrated and aligned messaging.
- Proactively surface themes and opportunities for cross-functional storytelling.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Business, or a related field.
- Formal training or certification in change management preferred.
- 3–5+ years in corporate communications, internal communications, marketing communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing communication strategies, not just executing them.
- Experience owning communications for enterprise or multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Proven ability to work directly with senior leaders.
- Ability to craft compelling stories from complex information.
- Expertise in communication planning, channel strategy, and message development.
- Ability to elevate communication quality and maintain consistency across the department.
- Strong visual, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to drive alignment across diverse subject areas and stakeholders.
- Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Comfortability in Microsoft Co Pilot or other generative AI tools.
- Poppulo and Canva ( proficiency in other comparable tools is ok)

Position Summary
The Strategic Initiatives department is looking for a Senior Strategic Initiatives Specialist to join their team. The Strategic Initiatives Analyst is a high-impact, high-visibility role on Focus Financial Partners’ Strategic Initiatives team — a small, senior team that functions as an internal strategy and transformation group for the firm. This role leads a great deal of analytical and presentation work for the team to ensure we meet our business priorities. They are ready to trade deal-by-deal or engagement-by-engagement work for something with broader scope: supporting the highest-priority strategic initiatives at Focus, working directly with executive leadership, and doing the work that makes complex cross-functional decisions actually happen.
Primary Responsibilities
Program & Project Execution
- Own individual workstreams within the AI Strategy Program and other cross-functional initiatives — structure the work, drive to decisions, and deliver outputs on timeline.
- Build and maintain the operating infrastructure for complex projects: project trackers, decision logs, risk registers, governance frameworks, and meeting rhythms.
- Triage incoming requests and competing priorities across the team’s portfolio; keep the team’s attention on the highest-leverage work.
Analysis & Modeling
- Build financial models, business cases, and ROI frameworks to support strategic decisions — clean, accurate, and built to be used, not just filed.
- Conduct competitive intelligence and market research; synthesize findings into executive-ready summaries and recommendations.
- Support initiative tracking and KPI dashboards that connect strategic priorities to measurable outcomes.
Communication & Influence
- Prepare board materials, executive presentations, and governance committee deliverables; own the quality of the narrative and the numbers.
- Represent the Strategic Initiatives team in cross-functional meetings; keep stakeholders aligned and accountable without positional authority.
- Translate complex, ambiguous situations into crisp problem statements and structured options for senior decision-makers.
AI Strategy Program Support
- Support the execution of Focus’s enterprise AI strategy, including vendor evaluations, use case intake process, governance committee operations, and pilot program management.
- Help develop and maintain the AI program’s knowledge base, intake forms, risk frameworks, and operating cadences.
- Serve as a credible, hands-on user of AI tools; bring practical experience to conversations about where and how AI creates value at Focus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline required, MBA or CFA in progress or completed preferred
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate strategy at a financial services firm.
- Demonstrated ability to build and own structured work products — models, memos, slide decks — independently and under time pressure.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent priorities and senior stakeholder exposure.
- Exceptional financial modeling and Excel skills — builds from scratch, not template-dependent.
- Strong structured communication skills: can write a one-pager, build a five-slide deck, or lead a working session with equal command.
- Intellectually curious and comfortable operating in ambiguity; doesn’t wait to be told what the answer should be.
- High personal accountability — owns their output, fixes their mistakes, and doesn’t let things fall through the cracks.
- Collaborative by instinct but comfortable working independently; can operate with minimal supervision on defined workstreams.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools (Claude, Notion AI, Copilot, etc.) and a willingness to be an early adopter. Experience building with AI is a plus but not required.
This position is an exempt position. About This Role:
The Technology Engagement Center (TEC) is a hands-on, people-first hub dedicated to helping associates adopt Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, and other emerging technologies. As a TEC Specialist focused on AI Enablement and Proactive Engagement, you will serve as a trusted in-house consultant, guide, and enabler, helping business users explore possibilities, build confidence, and strengthen their ability to apply new technology in meaningful ways.
This role is centered on proactive engagement across the organization, with a strong emphasis on AI awareness, Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption, stakeholder partnership, role based enablement, and measurable business impact. You will help associates understand and apply AI tools in their daily work, support transformation-focused communities and stakeholders, and translate trends and needs into practical learning and adoption plans. This role is not primarily about building solutions for others. Instead, it is about empowering associates to use available tools effectively, guiding them through new ways of working, and helping the organization increase effective use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and related technologies. At the same time, this position should maintain enough familiarity with the other Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools to support team workload as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Support proactive AI awareness and education efforts across the organization, helping develop and execute enablement plans that increase understanding, confidence, and practical use of AI tools.
- Deliver engaging consultations, product demos, workshops, and training sessions focused on Microsoft 365 Copilot, everyday AI use cases, and related Microsoft 365 capabilities.
- Serve as a subject matter resource on Microsoft 365 Copilot and associated AI concepts, helping associates identify meaningful, responsible, and productive ways to use AI in their work.
- Support the development and execution of action plans designed to improve the usage and impact of Microsoft 365 Copilot and everyday AI capabilities.
- Support the AI Champion Network and Transformation Co-pilot community through onboarding, facilitation, recurring engagement, capability-building, and ongoing enablement support.
- Conduct or support role-based gap analysis, learning needs analysis, and targeted enablement planning by function and enterprise-wide.
- Facilitate recurring meetings with stakeholders to understand needs, identify trends, and surface opportunities for upskilling, coaching, and broader enablement.
- Track performance against defined KPIs and help develop action plans in partnership with key stakeholders based on adoption trends, business needs, and observed gaps.
- Help analyze TEC requests, work trends, and feedback to identify patterns and opportunities that should be elevated to TEC leadership and other stakeholders.
- Partner with functional teams and enterprise stakeholders to connect needs, support escalation pathways, and improve visibility to digital priorities and roadmaps.
- Assist with training and enablement plans for broader enterprise digital initiatives as needed.
- Maintain awareness of evolving Microsoft 365, Copilot, AI, and related digital capabilities in order to provide current, relevant guidance to associates.
- Support team workload as needed based on capacity, including consultations, training, demonstrations, resource guidance, and general user enablement.
- Maintain clear and current documentation of support interactions, best practices, learning assets, and recurring guidance materials.
- Contribute to the organization, curation, and ongoing improvement of TEC resources, digital content, and knowledge-sharing channels.
What You Bring:
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 core tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Working knowledge of supporting Microsoft 365 apps and experiences used for productivity, communication, collaboration, and learning.
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and the practical application of AI to business productivity, insight generation, and innovation.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot and how it can be applied within day-to-day business workflows.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, including built-in agents such as Researcher and Analyst, Agent Builder, and Notebooks.
- Ability to translate AI and Copilot concepts into practical, business-relevant guidance for associates with varying levels of technical confidence and digital maturity.
- Working familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, sufficient to support consultations, basic guidance, demonstrations, and workload coverage when needed. Advanced development or solution architecture expertise is not required for this role.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead end-user training, workshops, product demonstrations, consultations, or other capability-building sessions for individuals and groups.
- Strong analytical and consultative skills, including the ability to identify trends, assess learning and adoption needs and turn insights into actionable enablement plans.
