Part-Time Barista at Hill House Home

Hill House is seeking a Part-Time Barista at our Charleston store to become a pivotal part of our Hill House family. In this role, you'll serve not only as a brand ambassador but also as a key player in building relationships, both internally and externally, to cultivate an unparalleled service culture.  We are looking for a warm, professional, and dynamic associate to help drive our café’s sales performance and help ensure operational excellence, by assisting the Café Manager.

What You'll Do:

Drive Excellence in Sales & Service:

• Active role in engaging with clients, ensuring the highest level of service is provided and client experience goals are met.
• Greeting customers in a friendly manner
• Answer customer questions regarding menu choices.
• Promote and recommend menu items.

Operations:

• Assist in the smooth running of cafe operations, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining operational standards to meet brand standards continually.
• Assist in managing inventory effectively, ensuring stock levels are aligned with sales goals.
• Assist in maintaining equipment – espresso machine, coffee brewer, coffee grinder, etc

Who you are:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant setting
• Experience performing in a fast-paced environment with fastidious attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with exceptional communication and a motivational attitude
• High degree of flexibility and initiative

Hourly Rate: $20+/Hr

Hill House Home is seeking an Keyholder to assist in leading the retail team in our store.  In this role, you will coach and develop a team of associates to provide a best-in-class shopping experience for our customers.  The Keyholder will also be responsible for supporting the store’s daily operations including inventory management and reporting.  This is a full-time position with a retail schedule that includes weekends and holidays. 

Responsibilities 

• Must promote an engaging and positive work environment that fosters open communication, encourages teamwork and inspires others 
• Ensure sales associates are providing best-in-class customer service to every person, every time in order to drive sales and exceed customer expectations
• Knowledgeable and proficient in technology in order to accurately and efficiently process customer transactions professionally and in compliance with HHH policies
• Assist in ensuring visual merchandising standards are executed and maintained to the company brand standards
• Resolve customer service related issues using good business judgment and elevating as needed to Assistant Store Manager and/or Store Manager 
• Assist in maintaining daily operations of opening and closing the store
• Assist in maintaining stockroom organization & process incoming/outgoing shipments 
• Assist Store Manager & Assistant Store Manager in all retail store operations 
• Assume all managerial operational functions if business needs outweigh specific job functions

Hill House is seeking a Sales Associate to create personalized shopping experiences for our customers at our Charleston retail store. We are hiring part-time positions that will maintain a retail schedule (including weekends). 

What You'll Do:

• Build authentic connections with shoppers as you answer questions and complete purchases
• Constantly seek ways to improve the customer experience and energize the team to do the same
• Become a product expert and offer fit, fabric, style, and gift recommendations
• Assist with checking stock on a daily basis and restocking the selling floor when necessary
• Perform open and closeout procedures as needed
• Ensure and maintain the shop floor and visual display high standard
• Work in a fast-paced environment while utilizing exceptional customer service skills
• Surprise and delight customers by going above and beyond their expectations
