About the job
This position is needed to enable our customers to build the future of communications. The Senior Solutions Engineer is a critical part of the sales team focused on our Digital Sales segment.
Twilio’s Senior Solutions Engineers are responsible for delivering the Technical Win and best Product Fit to our customers.They lead the technical pre-sales relationship, drive technical discovery, propose technical architectures, demonstrate the product, anticipate concerns and offer creative solutions. They build customer trust in Twilio’s solutions.
Senior Solutions Engineers should be comfortable engaging with mid-level managers or sketching out an API flow on a whiteboard with customer software engineers.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer you will be able to fully and independently run low to mid-complexity opportunities. You will have exposure to all aspects of a deal and will work towards comprehensive knowledge of both our technology and elements of the deal cycle. Additionally, you will take the initiative in identifying and resolving issues that can improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team. In doing so, you may lead the design and execution of small to medium technical projects with limited oversight.

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Front End Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building and optimizing complex UI for modern integration platform using advanced JavaScript, HTML and CSS technologies. You will work with product, design and back-end teams to build innovative features. In this role, you will also be responsible to:

5+ years of experience in front-end focused Software Development

Good understanding of how browsers and DOM work
Familiar with web security, SEO and accessibility

Through a combination of live instruction, supported study with independent work, unit projects (individual and team-based) and 1:1 support to master full-stack web development, we prepare our learners to become full stack software engineers with experience in solving real world engineering problems.
Our curriculum is designed to guide students through the software development process, starting from foundational concepts to advanced applications. We begin with the basics of programming using JavaScript and introduce web design with HTML and CSS. From there, we progress to simple web development, followed by more advanced front-end techniques using React.js.
The course then transitions to backend development, focusing on Express.js, API creation, and database management. Approximately 50% of the course is dedicated to JavaScript-based frontend development, 25% to backend development with a focus on APIs, databases, and security, and the remainder on backend development using an additional programming language.
Additionally, we equip learners with essential skills for the workplace, including source control, team collaboration, and developer workflows, ensuring they are well-prepared for working in cross-functional team environments.
The Software Engineering Bootcamp consists of four units:
Learning is assessed through four major projects (two independent projects, one team project, and a final course capstone), in addition to smaller projects and labs. About 20% of the overall class time is dedicated to supporting learners’ project work.
