Location: Roseville, CA | Reports to: Studio Manager | Part Time

Hourly Rate:   $20.50 

The Studio Supervisor plays a critical support role in the daily operations of the Studio, serving as a trusted keyholder and frontline leader. This role is designed for team members who consistently demonstrate strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently.

As a Studio Supervisor, you’ll help open and close the Studio, support floor leadership during peak periods, and ensure a consistent customer and brand experience. You’ll also set the tone on the floor — modeling our values, reinforcing service standards, and supporting operational execution. This is a non-managerial role but one that requires maturity, ownership, and leadership by example.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Execution & Sales Support

• Opens and closes the Studio independently and ensures all opening/closing procedures are completed accurately
• Supports daily execution of visual merchandising, supply restocks, and Studio upkeep
• Reviews daily business and helps implement strategies to drive results
• Acts as a floor leader during assigned shifts, helping structure the team to deliver both sales and service goals
• Upholds compliance with safety and brand standards, including regulations tied to piercing and Studio cleanliness

Customer Experience

• Delivers exceptional service and educates customers on the Studs experience
• Supports service recovery and escalates customer concerns as needed
• Ensures a warm, welcoming, and consistent customer journey aligned with our service expectations

Team Support & Culture

• Sets a strong example for professionalism, inclusion, and accountability
• Provides real-time feedback and support to teammates when appropriate, escalating as needed
• Helps reinforce company values and contributes to a collaborative, feedback-rich environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a keyholder or shift lead role that included independent operations and opening/closing responsibilities
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule of varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must have availability to work on Saturday and Sunday, excluding approved unscheduled time away
• Reliably attend work as scheduled for up to 29 hours per week, in line with local laws and subject to any approved accommodations
• Proven track record of professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment in a customer-facing environment
• Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) and able to lift/move at least 20 lbs
• Able to handle chemicals safely and follow all relevant health, safety, and compliance protocols
• Confident operating solo and taking ownership of floor leadership responsibilities when assigned
• Brings a positive attitude, receives feedback well, and contributes to a collaborative, service-oriented team culture

What does a Squishable Retail Sales Lead do?

• Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions in partnership with the Store Manager that align with Company priorities and values
• Enforces sales strategies, initiatives, and growth across all categories
• Productivity Management: holds self and sales team accountable for personal sales
• Acts as a brand ambassador in the local market/mall to drive brand loyalty and business (i.e., charity events, local associations, mall initiatives)
• Solution-oriented and forward-thinking in resolving customer issues; partners with Store Manager and/or District Manager/Regional Manager as appropriate
• Develops both individual and team product knowledge skills to stay up-to-date on all current Squishable in-store products
• ​Assists in supervising the team on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to meet goals and utilize Company tools; empowers others and encourages individual growth
• Able to provide feedback to others; coaches performance to a higher standard; provides constructive feedback to the Store Manager

Other Qualifications:

• Two plus years of relevant supervisor experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, challenging, and creative customer-facing environment.

You demonstrate a genuine passion for creating an elevated customer experience in our retail stores. Your goal is to bring brand awareness, product knowledge and the art of layering to life through intentional customer service. 

Your Day to Day Includes: 

Customer Service:

• You are aware of customers at all times and are responsible for holding keys to caselines in accordance with best practices and LP strategies.

• You may be asked to deescalate/report customer service concerns or incidents as they occur from time to time, along with submitting an incident report.

Styling:

• You develop expertise in our collections and product offerings to guide guests through styling decisions, using tools and resources to ensure the customer is informed & educated on the products.

Operations: 

• You are comfortable leveraging technology (POS) to support daily store operations and pay close attention to timelines and updates as it relates to technology and systems in your role.
• You maintain floor standards by following visual directives and take pride in maintaining our beautiful store environment.
• You take initiative restocking and completing tasks in downtime to support store and sales readiness.
• You help fulfill Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) and Same Day Delivery orders (SHIPSI), ensuring every customer enjoys a smooth and convenient shopping experience.
• You will assist with receiving weekly allocation shipments in a timely manner to ensure the right items hit our floor at the right time.
• You are mindful of service standards and processes, keeping our policies front of mind when servicing the customer.
• You take great care with team equipment, and utilize best-practices when it comes to handling and securing tech.
• You may be asked to open and close the store which would require responsibility for a store key and alarm code.
• You may assist with the labeling or re-ticketing of items as needed.

There may be times when you are asked to help facilitate additional duties in the store, or may serve as a point-of-contact for Business Partners in the absence of a Manager being present. Some of these duties are outlined below, however this is not an exhaustive list.

• You conduct weekly cycle counts with an attention to detail in order to maintain inventory accuracy and support effective product allocations from our studio.
• You execute monthly floorset directives that highlight new product launches and our Southern California, timeless yet modern roots. You may be asked to submit floorset pictures to corporate for approval.
• You handle weekly cash deposits with precision, making sure everything is counted, balanced, and deposited smoothly.
• You facilitate the weekly return of warranty items to the Warehouse, ensuring all shipments are prepared, documented, and sent on schedule. 
• You contact and utilize the appropriate business partners for resources and guidance as needed.

Job Requirements: 

• Love for the gorjana brand
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends or holidays as needed by the business
• Ability to lift or move at least 50 lbs 
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 6 hours per shift
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located
• Ability to open or close the store
