직무 소개

CLS FP&A – Business Analyst 팀은 CLS Business Analysis로서 쿠팡의 Logistics 비즈니스 의사결정을 지원하기 위해 데이터의 분석, 품질, 가용성, 깊이를 책임지는 핵심 프로젝트를 주도합니다.

SQL 및 기타 분석 언어에 대한 전문성과 ETL 개발, 다양한 데이터 분석 기법을 기반으로, 조직 전반의 의사결정에 필요한 신뢰도 높은 데이터와 가시성(visibility)을 제공합니다.

이 과정에서 엔드투엔드(E2E) 물류 운영을 재무 관점에서 구조적으로 분석하고, 운영 데이터와 FP&A를 연결하여 비용 효율성, 서비스 수준, 사업 확장성에 대한 핵심 의사결정을 리딩합니다.

Fulfillment Center의 세부 운영, Linehaul, Last‑mile 전반에 걸친 복잡한 물류 구조를 데이터와 재무 지표로 해석·정량화 함으로써, 경영진과 조직이 속도·비용·품질 간의 Trade-off를 명확히 이해하고 합리적인 선택을 할 수 있도록 지원합니다.

• Project data 구축, KPI 설계 및 추적, 모델링

Marketplace Platform team at Coupang is looking for a “Staff, Back-end Engineer” to lead the design and development of Marketplace platform that allows our vendors and third-party sellers to publish their merchandise to our catalog, fulfill orders and get paid, without the friction inherent in the traditional retail model. You will be responsible for building highly scalable, distributed systems to accommodate tens of thousands of sellers with access to tens of millions of products world-wide, and for designing the optimal solutions to provide the sellers with end-to-end sales experiences through our platform from publishing goods, fulfilling, shipping orders to payment. You will join a highly technical and entrepreneurial team building applications to disrupt the B2B e-commerce segment. You will participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. You will participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• 7+ years software development experiences;
• 5+ years hands-on experience with designing and developing on distributed architecture systems up to Tera/petabyte data handling using Open Source software.
• Expert with one or more programming language such as Java/Python/Scala
• Understanding of architectural principles and design patterns / styles using parallel large-scale distributed frameworks such as Hadoop / Spark
• Deep knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases such as HBase, MongoDB, Dynamo DB, Cassandra

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Ads Experience (AdEx) team, you will lead the design and delivery of key advertiser and operator workflows in Moloco’s web-based campaign management portal (Moloco Cloud Portal, our Ads Manager UI). You will shape how advertisers configure, monitor, and troubleshoot campaigns at scale, driving both user satisfaction and business impact.

The Opportunity

• Lead the end‑to‑end design and implementation of complex advertiser workflows and services in Moloco Cloud Portal, from problem framing and technical design to launch and post‑launch iteration.
• Act as technical lead for medium‑ to large‑scale projects, breaking down ambiguous problems into clear milestones and aligning engineers and cross‑functional partners.
• Architect and evolve backend services and APIs that support campaign setup, health monitoring, reporting, alerting, and diagnostics for advertisers and internal operators.
• Partner with Product, UX, Data, and ML to define the operational and reporting experience strategy in the Ads Manager UI, ensuring our experiences are coherent, scalable, and easy to operate.

About the Team

The Catalog Engineering team builds foundational AI and ML systems that structure, validate, and optimize Coupang’s ever-growing product catalog. Our work powers the accuracy, quality, and consistency of catalog data used across Search, Recommendation, Personalization, Ads, and downstream customer experiences.

We innovate in large-scale machine learning, deep learning, data processing, and knowledge-based systems to ensure that Coupang’s catalog remains comprehensive, reliable, and operational at massive scale. We are looking for Staff-level ML Engineers who are passionate about building high-impact, production-grade ML platforms at the core of e-commerce.

Role / Responsibilities

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer in Catalog Engineering, you will:

• Architect and develop end-to-end ML systems that improve catalog quality, including product classification, attribute inference, normalization, disambiguation, and product grouping
• Build and optimize large-scale predictive and generative models that operate on billions of product records and attributes
• Design ML pipelines for feature computation, data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and continuous monitoring
• Apply state-of-the-art methods in deep learning, representation learning, vector modeling, and similarity search to solve catalog-centric problems
• Partner with engineering, product, data, and platform teams to ensure catalog ML systems integrate effectively into mission-critical workflows
• Drive experimentation frameworks (A/B tests, offline/online validation) to measure and improve model impact
• Establish best practices for ML engineering, including model quality, monitoring, reliability, observability, and MLOps standards
• Provide technical leadership across the ML lifecycle and mentor engineers on system design, modeling approaches, and pipeline development
• Influence the long-term technical roadmap for Catalog Engineering by identifying opportunities for foundational improvements and reusable components

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and/or applied machine learning
• 4+ years of hands-on experience building production-grade, large-scale ML systems
• Deep expertise in ML/AI/deep learning, including model architecture, loss functions, optimization, and statistical modeling
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one of: Scala, Java, or PySpark
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Significant experience with large-scale data processing (SQL, Spark, data lakes, data warehouses)
• Experience deploying and operating ML systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong track record of leading complex technical initiatives and working with cross-functional partners
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence engineering and product stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
• Experience in e-commerce, catalog systems, product understanding, search, or data quality platforms
• Experience with embedding models, representation learning, vector similarity search, or large-scale clustering
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Weights & Biases, CI/CD for ML)

• Partner with the sales team in pre-sales engagements to design and present solutions for Imply Lumi that address customer needs in observability, SIEM, and adjacent analytics use cases. 
• Leverage deep expertise in Splunk and familiarity with related tools such as Cribl, Grafana, and Elastic to ensure seamless integration into customer environments.
• Lead technical discovery, proof-of-concept, and pilot deployments, ensuring smooth onboarding, measurable value delivery, and alignment with customer business objectives to drive new and expansion opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience with observability, SIEM, or analytics platforms, including customer-facing work in pre-sales and/or early adoption phases.
• Strong knowledge of observability architectures, log and metrics pipelines, and related tools, with strong Splunk knowledge and familiarity with complementary technologies such as Cribl, Grafana, or Elastic preferred.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), along with working knowledge of SQL, SPL, and a programming language such as Python or Java.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively lead deep discovery, identify opportunities, and deliver enterprise solutions that integrate into existing observability stacks while addressing customer challenges and delivering measurable value.
• Detail-oriented with strong ownership, accountability, and communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
