Staff Finance Associate, Corporate

Redwood Materials is currently seeking a Staff Finance Associate to join our FP&A team. Our finance function combines rigorous financial planning and analysis with direct strategic decision support for executive leadership and the board. The right candidate is a senior individual contributor who operates independently, manages complex modeling and reporting workstreams end-to-end, and produces outputs that reach the most senior levels of the organization.

Responsibilities will include:  

Consolidation & Financial Reporting 

• Own the monthly consolidated financial outlook, integrating operational forecasts, corporate assumptions, and key risk factors into a unified view for leadership. 
• Lead monthly close reporting cycles, including detailed variance analysis with clear narrative on drivers and implications. 
• Develop and maintain management reporting packages distributed to the executive team and board of directors. 
• Continuously improve the accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of consolidated financial reporting processes. 

Long-Range Modeling & Scenario Planning 

• Support maintenance and refresh of the long-range financial model, incorporating updated operating assumptions, strategic initiatives, and market conditions on a quarterly basis. 
• Build and run scenario analyses, sensitivities, and stress tests to support capital allocation and investment decisions. 
• Develop analytical frameworks to evaluate strategic alternatives, new business opportunities, and trade-offs across the corporate portfolio. 
• Partner with senior finance leadership to translate strategic priorities into quantified financial projections. 

Cash Flow Management & Planning 

• Support consolidated cash flow forecasting by integrating actuals, purchase order activity, payment terms, and operational inputs into a reliable short- and long-range liquidity view. 
• Drive working capital analysis and support initiatives to optimize receivables, payables, and inventory dynamics. 
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure cash-relevant assumptions are accurate and consistently reflected across models. 

Actuals Tracking & Financial Controls 

• Oversee accurate classification and reconciliation of financial actuals across revenue, cost, and investment categories. 
• Conduct comprehensive monthly review and analysis of spend actuals, with variance commentary relative to plan and forecast. 
• Identify and drive improvements in financial systems and tools to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. 

Board & Investor Communications 

• Support preparation of board of directors financial materials, ensuring content is accurate, well-structured, and delivered on time. 
• Support development of quarterly investor communications that clearly convey operational and financial performance and strategic progress. 
• Translate complex financial data into concise, executive-ready narratives for board and investor audiences. 

Ad Hoc Analysis & Strategic Support 

• Provide deep-dive analysis on high-impact financial and corporate decisions, including capital structure, liquidity, and organizational growth. 
• Scope and structure ambiguous problems independently, delivering well-reasoned recommendations under tight timelines. 
• Evaluate and recommend tools or process improvements that enhance the efficiency and quality of FP&A outputs. 

Desired Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of increasingly complex experience in financial planning, analysis, and corporate-level modeling. 
• Demonstrated ability to execute complex modeling and reporting workstreams with a high degree of independence and strong attention to detail. 
• Strong background in consolidation, cash flow forecasting, and long-range financial modeling. 
• Experience preparing materials for board of directors or C-suite audiences. 
• Advanced Excel skills; able to build, adapt, and audit large financial models efficiently. 
• Familiarity with ERP and financial planning systems; experience linking actuals data to forecast models a plus. 
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills; able to influence and communicate clearly at all levels of management. 
• Ability to develop structured frameworks and clear recommendations on ambiguous, high-stakes questions. 
• Experience in manufacturing, energy, clean technology, or other capital-intensive industries a plus. 
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or related field; Master's or CFA preferred. 

We are hiring a Director of Employee Communications to reset and lead this function at a higher strategic and operational level. As we set out to become a $10B company in the age of AI, we must drive a high-performance culture grounded in clear strategy and operating at pace. To do this, we must raise the bar on how our internal comms operates and delivers the information employees need in order to execute successfully, while strengthening leadership alignment, employee trust and clarity during periods of change. This requires a Director-level leader who can set the strategy and operating model for the function, influence senior stakeholders, lead through others and drive into execution when needed with core partners, including executive leadership, the People team and Global Comms. It is important to base this role in the U.S. (San Francisco, NYC, or Austin) so the Director is in the time zones where leadership is primarily making decisions that directly impact employees and the internal communications function day-to-day in addition to supporting high-velocity, high-stakes communications with senior leaders in real-time. Early objectives include:

• Reset the Program: The Director will define and implement our internal comms plan, operating cadence, channel strategy and quality bar to be consistent and proactive while delivering operational excellence at pace.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with Global Comms and HR: They will closely collaborate with the People Team and will ensure internal communications are planned, aligned, and integrated into the company narrative, major business moments and leadership priorities.
• Lead High-Stakes Moments: Own our most visible internal platforms, like Global MongoDB Lives. We need a leader on the ground to ensure these moments deliver. This role will oversee the execution of several of leaderships’ tentpole programs that shape company strategy, trust and organizational clarity.

Overview

The Plant Security Protection Specialist is responsible for the daily execution of security and assists with fire protection operations at the Blythewood, South Carolina Scout Motors production facility. This role focuses on field-level execution, guard force oversight, operational security support and incident response coordination to ensure the protection of employees, visitors, corporate assets, and production continuity. The Specialist works on-site at the facility, directly within plant operations, supporting the Manager of Plant Security and Fire Protection to execute and manage established security programs, monitor systems and personnel, and facilitate day-to-day security activities across the site.

Security Implementation and Procedures

• Support implementation of plant security procedures and operational compliance.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure security procedures are followed.

• Support implementation of corrective security measures directed by leadership.
• Deliver operational security training and awareness briefings for employees, contractors, and security personnel.
• Provide guidance to guard force personnel on response procedures and security protocols
• Maintain incident logs, operational reports, and security documentation.
• Collect operational security metrics including incident statistics, guard performance data, alarm activity reports, and access control trends and assist the Manager of Security and Fire Protection with reporting and program performance tracking.

Security Personnel Monitoring

• Provide day-to-day operational monitoring of contract security guard force assigned to the facility.
• Conduct inspections of guard posts and access control points to ensure compliance with post orders and site procedures.
• Monitor staffing levels and operational readiness of security personnel.
• Address guard performance issues and escalate vendor performance concerns.

Security Technology and Access

• Support the Security Operations Center (SOC) / Fusion Center.
• Monitor the daily operation of security technologies including access control systems, CCTV platforms, badge management systems, and intrusion detection systems.
• Identify system issues, coordinate troubleshooting with IT or vendors, and track resolution.
• Support operational testing and readiness checks of electronic security systems.
• Coordinate with security technology vendors, facilities teams, and construction contractors during security equipment installation activities.
• Document installation progress, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with vendors and project teams.
• Participate in system testing, commissioning, and operational acceptance of newly installed security technologies.
• Conduct field inspections of installed security equipment including cameras, access control readers, door hardware, alarm devices, and supporting infrastructure to verify alignment with approved security designs and operational requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant perimeter fencing, gates, lighting, camera coverage, and restricted areas to identify physical security vulnerabilities and report mitigation recommendations.

• Support investigations related to access misuse or unauthorized access attempts.
• Support security operations related to plant activities including contractor access management and temporary security coverage.

Emergency Response

• Respond to security incidents, workplace disruptions, accidents, and emergency events occurring on plant property, including coordination of emergency response when required
• Coordinate response actions for alarms, suspicious activity, medical emergencies, and security incidents and provide real-time situational updates to leadership and the Manager of Security and Fire Protection
• Act as or support the Incident Commander during emergency events and assist with coordination of on-site response resources.
