What You’ll Do:
Join our Development Assurance team, reporting directly to the Manager of Systems Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in launching our first certified aircraft by architecting the engineering framework that governs how we work. You will define, deploy, and continuously improve the processes and toolchains that enable our teams to develop cutting-edge aircraft systems with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. As a multi-disciplinary leader, you will bridge the gap between engineering execution and company strategy, ensuring our development lifecycle is fully compliant ARP4754A and other aerospace industry standards.

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join the Propulsion Team at Archer. This role will have a strong focus on the verification and testing of Archer’s internally-developed Propulsion Tilt-rotor system, which interfaces with the electric engines, and other electric actuation subsystems, as well as low voltage and high-voltage power distribution. This role will have to plan and execute testing at component-level as well as integrated system level. Having prior testing experience and capability of executing in complex test campaigns is a must.

What You’ll Do
Minimum Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering.
Minimum Experience requirement: Aerospace Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or related job title in which three (3) years of closely related experience in design, analysis and manufacturing of composite aerostructures and lightweight structures (aircraft, spacecraft, other high performance vehicles), including design of large bonded structures, sandwich construction, hand laid prepreg carbon fiber, machined metal, and manufacturing of composite part.
Alternate Requirements: Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering with (1) year experience as an Aerospace Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or related job title in which closely related experience in design, analysis and manufacturing of composite aerostructures and lightweight structures (aircraft, spacecraft, other high performance vehicles), including design of large bonded structures, sandwich construction, hand laid prepreg carbon fiber, machined metal, and manufacturing of composite part.
Special Requirements: Must have CAD skills in NX, Solidworks, Catia or Creo. Must have knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft and PDM systems, FEMAP and HYPERWORKS.
Travel Requirement: Up to 25% domestic and international travel.

As a member of our Flight Control Actuation Systems team you will define, design, validate, and verify system level requirements while working with internal teams and suppliers to ensure requirement compliance for the flight control actuation system of eVTOL aircraft. You will be responsible for showing compliance with product and regulatory requirements while acting as a multi-disciplinary integrator at the actuator subsystem, flight control system, and aircraft levels.
This position requires access to information which is subject to U.S. export control regulations. To conform to such regulations as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
