The CircleCI Associate Rotation Program is a 12-month, 2-rotation deep-dive into engineering at a company where AI isn't a buzzword…it's the job! You'll rotate through real teams, own real work, and build real things that engineers at companies like yours use every single day. No coffee runs. No shadowing. Actual building.

We are looking for a Staff AI Productivity Engineer to accelerate how our engineering organization works with AI coding tools. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building infrastructure, tooling, and documentation that makes AI agents dramatically more effective across our codebase.
AI tools are evolving rapidly, and we believe the companies that invest in making agents truly productive - not just available - will have a significant advantage. You'll own this problem end-to-end: from setting up cloud development environments where agents can run autonomously, to building MCP integrations that give agents access to our internal systems, to creating the documentation and context that helps agents understand how we build software.
You’ll have the hands-on acumen to do a lot of the heavy lifting yourself and the leadership skills to drive cross-team efforts to raise the bar everywhere. This role is a companion role to our Developer Productivity role but has a distinct focus: while Dev Productivity owns the build/test/deploy pipeline, you'll own the AI-assisted development experience. An exceptional candidate could wear both hats.

This is a senior role, but we focus on impact and potential for growth more than years of experience. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $320,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, and offer early exercise and a 10 year post-termination exercise window.

At the foundation of these products is the Platform Engineering team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will define and drive both the architectural roadmap and implementation of core platforms and software systems. Mercury moves fast. We ship frequently, our monorepo grows daily, and the pressure to do it right never lets up. Release Engineering is the team that makes this possible: owning the CI/CD platform, build infrastructure, deployment tooling, and the practices that let 400+ engineers deliver with confidence.
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead this team. You'll partner with the Backend Developer Experience team to deliver the full software delivery lifecycle from code commit to production, and build the engineering culture that keeps our release process a competitive advantage rather than a bottleneck.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer (DevOps) to help design, build, and maintain the systems that keep our platform fast, reliable, and secure. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who loves infrastructure, automation, and high-leverage backend work. You’ll work across backend services, CI/CD, and cloud architecture — enabling the entire engineering team to ship confidently and often. You’ll collaborate closely with backend and frontend engineers, owning our deployment pipelines, AWS environments, and infrastructure-as-code. The ideal candidate thrives in startup environments — solving problems pragmatically, balancing speed and reliability, and continuously improving tooling and processes.

As the Lead Software Engineer, Device Automation within the Device Automation, Build, and Quality Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the automated testing strategy and scaling the team. You’ll collaborate closely with design, development, and quality teams to plan, design, and implement robust automated testing systems that ensure the quality and reliability of our products. As a senior technical leader, you will be highly hands-on in your work, while mentoring and guiding other engineers.
