The Accounts team is a seasoned team at SIE which interacts with various critical systems server side, client side and commerce related teams. Using state of the art technology, leveraging AWS services, we create high transaction, low latency systems that live at the heart of every module in platform engineering.
This is a fast paced, high-visibility engineering position within SIE’s platform engineering organization helping to establish a linear scale, highly available, fault-tolerant, globally distributed accounts services platform.
This next generation Accounts platform will support the fast growing SIE customer base on both world class PlayStation consoles, ,devices and PC platforms. This key role will lead the technology transformation of the accounts services platform including existing and new services to support the dramatic customer growth on the platform.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the team, you will design and develop highly scalable, distributed services, as well as collaborate with product managers, architects , engineers, and operations team members across playstation. This is a fast-paced environment that leverages lightweight SOA design patterns. We encourage innovation and expect developers to take a high level of ownership throughout the software life cycle.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in developing business critical software using Enterprise Java/J2EE, Web Services, REST, JSON/XML, expert level of object oriented programming analysis and design
2+ years’ experience developing with AWS native services such as EC2, EKS, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS and DynamoDB
Experience developing applications on Java Services on Linux platforms
Experience with servlet containers (e.g., Tomcat, Reactor Netty), JAXRS, Spring, and related technologies
Experience developing web services using JSON and XML
Prior experience working with Python is a plus
Proficient in software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Demonstrated ability to take a project from initial scope out of requirements to launch
Possess deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with micro service architecture.
Experience creating UML artifacts (e.g., class, sequence, and component diagrams)
Experience with AI driven development tools for code review and pipeline management
Experience in requirements engineering, describing software product features, and technical designs.
Experience with large scale account management systems with high throughput requirements
Experience in deploying, operating, and managing services in AWS or other cloud environments.
Asynchronous programming, Non-blocking I/O, Event-driven and backpressure handling
Experience building high performance, active-active, linearly scalable production services (Enterprise Java/J2EE, or C++, Web Services, REST, SQL/NoSQL data layers)

The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Acrisure Innovation, you’ll be an essential part of the team building world-class software to transform the insurance industry. You will lead the design, implementation and delivery of software while working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team, including software engineers, product managers, and designers to identify and deliver innovative features, systems, and products to better understand risk and surface insights and recommendations for how best to engage that risk in the marketplace.
