HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:
LEADERSHIP
- Lead conceptual and design development across multiple projects.
- Mentor junior design team members on technical skills, art direction, and storytelling strategies.
- Share the team’s work across internal and external platforms, including design award programs and social media.
- Translate clients’ needs and ideas into compelling concepts that express their mission and purpose.
- Contribute to marketing pursuits and internal team initiatives
- Execute a project from strategy to storyboard to final design with confidence.
- Engage by using curiosity, empathy, and intuition to clarify complex ideas, visions and strategies.
- Design creative, highly detailed solutions across all media types that express a unique vision.
- Develop documentation for a variety of design projects to include graphic programs, wayfinding and signage systems, donor recognition programs and interpretive exhibits.
- Explore compelling ways to spread CannonDesign’s Living Centered Design ethos and integrate best practices to the team and the firm.
- Manage projects and diverse project teams with creative and artistic direction from start to finish.
- Review and redline shop drawings and submittals throughout construction administration phases.
- Communicate during team calls and actively engage in lively design critique.
- Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and outside consultants.
- Advocate for the team’s expertise and capabilities across CannonDesign’s network of disciplines and services.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience required.
- Exceptional design portfolio and strong background in a variety of markets.
- Strong typography skills.
- Robust communication skills and proven strategies for collaborating in fast-moving, complex project teams.
- Strong knowledge of signage and wayfinding design and methodology.
- Deep understanding of all aspects of experiential design required.
- Strong client leadership and technical leadership for production team: large, complex projects.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of latitude.
- Must be a critical thinker, highly analytical, and possess business acumen.
- Proficient in project management.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Proficiency on Mac in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required. Skills in Revit and SketchUp a plus.
The salary range for this position $81,955 to $102,398 annually. This is the anticipated salary range at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on candidate's geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. About the Opportunity:
LINK is actively seeking an Senior Information Designer to join our dynamic team, where we collaborate with clients across a wide range of industries to create impactful visual stories that communicate complex ideas. You will be responsible for translating concepts into compelling visual products, including prototypes, wireframes, infographics, charts, and diagrams, to effectively convey both quantitative data and abstract ideas in print and digital formats.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to apply human-centered design and design thinking principles to solve complex challenges and deliver visually engaging solutions. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to understand their needs, develop intuitive information hierarchies, and create designs that support their goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, UX Design, Visual Journalism, Visual Communications, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in graphic design or a related role
- Strong expertise in information design, with a passion for creating visual stories and working with data to deliver impactful solutions
- Well-versed in a variety of design areas (e.g., experience design, brand development, information design, graphic design) to propose and develop the best solutions for each project
- Highly motivated to solve end-user challenges, meet stakeholder needs, and achieve business goals
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Capable of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing requirements
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to lead clients and teams to clarity around requirements
- A bias towards positivity, openness and supporting others
Responsibilities:
Visual Design and Information Products
- Develop high-quality, visually engaging deliverables such as infographics, charts, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, dashboards, briefs and presentation visuals
- Translate dense, technical or ambiguous information into structured, accessible and visually compelling formats
- Create visual systems, frameworks, and narratives that support strategy, research and decision making
- Produce materials optimized for both print and digital environments
Human-Centered Design and Problem Solving
- Apply human-centered design principles to every stage of the design process, from understanding user needs to testing visual solutions.
- Collaborate closely with strategists, researchers, and subject-matter experts to ensure visuals reflect real user needs and client goals
- Iterate rapidly based on stakeholder feedback data insights and testing
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Understand client challenges and translate them into clear, tailored visual artifacts that drive clarity and alignment
- Work with the strategist to engage with client to define goals, clarify requirements, gather inputs and present design solutions
- Work efficiently under tight timelines and shifting priorities
- Support the development of templates, visual standards, and repeatable
Work Schedule:
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Hybrid, with 2–3 days a week working onsite with the client
- Some travel required to meet with prospects/clients, attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team events
Salary: We’re committed to providing competitive compensation, including locality adjustments. The base salary range for this position is $93,000-$126,000. Your final offer will reflect your experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
