This role will be responsible for partnering cross-functionally within a fast-moving technology company and its senior management to build annual budgets, manage forecasts, and provide decision support through financial analyses to ensure optimal returns on strategic investments. This is a key position providing guidance on financial and operational matters across the entire organization. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-term strategic planning processes 
• Design and refine detailed financial models that forecast and analyze functional costs in order to fully understand sources of variance and, ultimately, improve forecast accuracy
• Conduct in-quarter puts & takes review sessions – ensure that the organization can flex and react to short-term budget surpluses/deficits, including developing and maintaining KPIs for all aspects of the organization
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risk, and communicate key messages to senior management
• Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to synthesize and integrate updates relating to variances in actual procurement activity relative to budget forecasts
• Support executive management by providing timely ad hoc reporting on critical issues
• Become embedded with business partners across the company, establishing trust, building relationships and gaining a deep understanding of relevant drivers

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience preferred, SaaS experience strongly preferred
• Adaptive insights model building experience
• Strong financial and operational planning skills
• Ability to influence at all levels of an organization with an emphasis on partnering with the various business leaders
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience developing and delivering presentations
• Expertise in building Excel-based financial models, with an emphasis on aggregating and analyzing data to provide actionable insights
• Ability to multitask effectively, working in team environments or independently
• Four year university degree in finance, economics or accounting required, MBA a plus
• Experience with financial systems- NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce, etc. is a plus

Pay Range (Base Pay):   $130,000-150,000

Other Types of Pay: Based on level and role the employee may be eligible for long term incentives in the form of equity and short term incentives of either bonus or commission.

What You'll Do

The Director, FP&A is a senior financial leader and key member of Traeger's Finance leadership team, responsible for the full scope of financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the enterprise. This role leads a team spanning Revenue & Gross Margin, Commercial Finance, Product Finance, OpEx, and FP&A Systems — and serves as a trusted strategic partner to the VP, FP&A, Strategy & IR, CFO and executive leadership. The Director will set the vision and standards for FP&A excellence at Traeger, driving the insights, processes, and team capabilities needed to support profitable growth and sound decision-making at every level of the organization.

How You'll Help Us Win

• Own the company's annual budgeting and financial planning processes end-to-end, ensuring full P&L integrity from Revenue through EBITDA and alignment with Traeger's strategic objectives
• Serve as a primary financial thought partner to the VP, FP&A, Strategy & IR, CFO, and senior leadership team — operating seamlessly from detailed, hands‑on financial analysis to executive‑level strategic perspective, delivering clear, decision‑ready insights that inform capital allocation, performance management, and strategic priorities

• Oversee revenue, gross margin, and channel profitability analysis in close partnership with Sales, Commercial, and Product teams, ensuring investment decisions are grounded in rigorous financial evaluation
• Own the enterprise forecasting cadence and performance review rhythm, proactively surfacing risks and opportunities and communicating financial performance clearly and confidently to executive stakeholders
• Lead Supply Chain and Product Finance partnerships to optimize cost structures, improve margin performance, and support new product and sourcing decisions with sound financial frameworks

• Own OpEx planning and reporting, partnering with functional leaders across the organization to optimize investment capacity and drive accountability, efficiency, and disciplined cost management
• Oversee FP&A Systems strategy, ensuring Traeger's planning tools, data infrastructure, reporting capabilities, and AI‑enabled capabilities continuously improve to meet the needs of a growing, complex business

• Champion a culture of analytical rigor and process excellence — setting standards for financial modeling, KPI development, and management reporting that enable faster and better decisions at all levels
• Lead, develop, and retain a high‑performing FP&A organization, building a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and strong cross‑functional partnership

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with at least 4–5 years leading teams of managers in a complex, multi-functional environment
• Proven track record of building and developing high-performing finance teams and fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture
• Broad FP&A expertise spanning revenue, gross margin, product, supply chain, and OpEx — with the ability to connect the dots across a full P&L
• Experience owning or influencing FP&A systems and data infrastructure, with a bias for continuous improvement in tools and processes
• Exceptional business partnering skills — able to earn trust with senior executives and translate complex financial data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations
• Outstanding communication and executive presence; skilled at presenting to and influencing C-suite audiences
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Adaptive Planning, Redshift/SQL, or similar FP&A tools is a strong plus
• Results-oriented, high-energy leader who thrives in ambiguity, manages competing priorities with ease, and holds themselves and their team to the highest standards
• Player‑coach mindset, with the ability to step into the details when required while empowering managers and teams to operate independently at scale
